In reply to: media gone after wp update to 6.5.4@threadi, Images are not visible on the site or in backend. I went into cpanel and found that they are still in the database. https://www.johnmooresfineart.com/2019-looking-down-series-microlandscapes/
@toshloq35, Sorry but I cannot read your reply.

In reply to: media gone after wp update to 6.5.4I checked “
/wp-content/uploads/
” and found the images still reside there. They just don’t appear on the site. Also, I am running a child theme. I have…
Tried a twenty theme,
Tried the main theme,
Switched back to the child theme.
There is no change.

In reply to: [Storytime] Landing page, dropdown menuAndre,
justify-content works but it doesn’t like to be squeezed into a mobile screen.I may have to just do without that.
My questions here are pretty much answered so I’ll call it resolved.
Thanks again for your help.

In reply to: Making site ‘mobile ready’@t-p, thanks for the reply.
I realize the theme-dependance and am in contact with the author.
What I was hoping for was a source of information that can explain some of the concepts and workings of mobile compatibility.
One thing I am always trying to do is learn some of the concepts behind the things I am trying to do. (I never use a theme “out of the box.”) This would allow me to ask more informed questions rather than just “Help, this is all screwed up and I don’t know what to do.”
I am trying to be a good and informed customer of both WordPress and the theme author and help you help me.

In reply to: [Storytime] Landing page, dropdown menuHello,
Let me get back to with that. There are a coule of things I need to clean up.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Storytime] Landing page, dropdown menuAndre,
Thanks, my homepage is set up mostly. What I am tring to do is get a magazine style set up where the title is placed like the masthead on a cover with two or three text links that below that can go to the left, right or center depending on the cover image.
So, I have the site title and description in the same size as they are on regular site pages. What I can’t figure out how to get them to move to the top of the page.
The article links are centered below stuck in the center. It would be great if I could have the option to have them left-justified, centered, or right-justified.
I looked into trying to put article links in a block to make editing easier but that is beyond my ability right now. I figure that I can live with putting them into the html.
This is has gotten so much more complicated than what I had hoped at first. But if I can pull it off it would be really cool.
Oh, and yes, I will be putting all this into a child theme.

In reply to: [Storytime] Landing page, dropdown menuHi Andre,
Went through the tutorials regarding the landing/splash page.I was hoping to be able to put a couple of links to new articles or artwork under the title and description but can’t find anything that tells how to do it.
Tried to see if I could write some html in a coding block to add to the landing page but can’t figure out how to make it work.
Did I miss it somewhere.
Didn’t get to the menu yet.

In reply to: [Storytime] Customizing Storytime@roughpixels,
Thanks for asking. Everything is going well.I have some other questions but since they are different from the ones I asked here I’ll just start a new one.
Thanks again.

In reply to: [Storytime] Customizing StorytimeMy knowledge stops with HTML4 and never really got into more involved stuff. Still, I can make changes and tweaks to existing work. Never dealt with “after” before.
I was able to find the font entry just after I posted this message.
Thank you very much for your help!

In reply to: More than one paragraph in a single blockThanks @vijayhardaha, after a lot of reading online it seems like that is the only way to do it.
I was hoping that there was a block (or a way to make one that is not too complicated) that had something like the old editor in it.
Yes, I tried it. All I have to do is remember shift+enter as is write.

Maybe I hit the wrong button!?!

In reply to: Accessing Fonts When Serving From SiteFigured it out.
Everything I read online said the source should read
../fonts/Raleway-Black.ttf
It should read this way
fonts/Raleway-Black.ttf
Thanks for your reply @threadi!
