In reply to: New Theme: Brown as MilkHandySolo: Thanks for adding the link to my blog page. I guess i wasn’t thinking.
Piggy: Glad you like it. Which plugins did you have trouble with(out)? I tweaked a lot of stuff, and don’t rememeber changing anything that way. However, i’m a print designer, with a limited understanding of CSS, HTML, PHP etc.

In reply to: Integrating WordPress in my layoutYour question is vauge.
Are you asking if someone on these forums will turn your design into a working theme for you?
If that’s the question, i can’t answer it, but you are much more likely to generate interest in your beautiful design, if you provide a link to some sort of preview.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Looking for an opinionthe semi-tranparent background behind the text messes up dramaticly after it goes below the green-girl image in Safari.

(free) should work better for managing and investigating duplicate fonts. It’s a great program all around.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Sidebar moved to bottom of pageIf you view your recent posts on their own individual page, you can quickly find out if one of the posts is causing the problem. I.E. if the sidebar works right when only one post is being displayed, then that post is not the problem.

In reply to: Links Categories Not placing links in proper categoryThe “Blogroll” is the default link catagory, but you don’t have to use it.
For new links: When you are on the “Add LInk” page, use the “Category” drop-down menu to put the link under a new catagory.
For old links: go to the “magage links” page and “edit” each link, changing the dropdown to the appropriate catagory.No HTML editor needed.
If you don’t have a “sidebar widgets” page under “presentation” then your theme is not widget compatable.

In reply to: Category List ManipulationI really like your original idea. I tried to get WP to do something similar on my blog, but couldn’t figure it out.
Fold catagory list: https://www.webspaceworks.com/resources/cat/wp-plugins/31/
does something similar, but doesn’t explicity show the hierarchy.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Gravatar examples (where?)a free gravitar website? I don’t see a compelling need, since a gravitar is just a square picture, and there’s no shortage of pictures on the internet.
Sorry, not a very helpful answer.

In reply to: color postsYou can separate the blockquote part from the rest.
add this to the bottom of the styles file:
.blockquote {
color: #whatever;
}That should override the previous specifications about what color the .blockquote is.
Or you could duplicate the area that references .blockquote. In one remove the reference to the .blockquote, in the other remove the reference to everything else.

In reply to: Sidebar moved to bottom of pageI believe there is something wrong in this post: “Around the World Socks”.
I had a similar problem (today actually). The tagging had gotten messed up. If you are not into that kind of stuff, you might be able to fix the problem by copying out the text of that post to a word processor, erasing everything in that post, and putting it back together.Forum: Themes and Templates
