Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Errors after updating to 4.4.1Ok, I created a subdomain and install a fresh copy of wordpress on that subdomain. I still cannot upload media. It gives the same error “Missing a temporary folder.”
Does this narrow it down for someone more knowledgeable than me?

In reply to: Errors after updating to 4.4.1Ok, so I have been trying everything…
I was able to fix this problem when trying to update or install plugin:
Download failed. Could not open handle for fopen() to /tmp/wp-super-cache.1.4.7-PzYnil.tmp
But attempting to upload media still gives me the same error.

In reply to: Responsive Two Columns CONTACT FORM 7Correct me if I’m wrong but the first part of the CSS, before the media queries, it should be float right instead of left.
#contentright { width: 50%; padding: 5px 15px; float: left;
Thanks web premiere for the code. We used it to tackle an issue for a client project at https://www.loftysights.com.

In reply to: install wordpress from address ipIf I understand correctly, you are going to install new wordpress on another host and then switch later?
Why don’t you just move the website files and database to the new host?
I understand if maybe you want to start over or make major changes. If you develop on the IP address you will need to use a search and replace plugin later and change all instances of IP address to the domain name.
Another option is to edit the host file on your computer to resolve you new IP address to the domain. Then you can develop the new site with the domain name and when you switch the nameservers for the domain later, it will just work without having to do the search and replace.

In reply to: HostingAgreed. My hosting company LoftySights did it for free. That’s obviously the easiest way.

In reply to: how to startcredotravel,
Matthew is correct. You downloaded WordPress, but you need to install it to a web server. Once you sign up, they will have a one-click install process that makes things easy.
This video shows you how to install it easily once you buy web hosting:

Best of luck!
