The guilty party was “Tweet This”.

Are there any known reasons why this plug-in was crashing my blog?

I just deactivated all of my plug-ins so I could switch themes. Before I switched themes I checked to see if the blog worked without any plug-ins, and it is back up and running.

What’s the best way to find the guilty plug-in? Is it reactivating them one by one to see what crashes?

I’ve had this problem occur twice in the same 3 week period. And yes, I am in the midst of trying to upgrade to 2.5 now. My site is currently using 2.1.

The first time this happened I followed instructions from the forum and everything worked great. This last time (today) I did the same things, and everything now works great except the following error at the top of my blog.

What do I do to fix this?

I deleted the file ro8kfbsmag.txt, switched all my pages from posts back to pages and changed the upload location back to default. I can post and my blog works fine, it just has this error message and everything looks like crap.

Thanks for the help and links. I’ve been busy trying to get everything back up. But, I’m having a rough time for many reasons.

1. I can’t upgrade from 2.1 to 2.3.3 at my server because they say “some of your files were changed manually”. Ouch!
2. I still cannot post anything new, so running with 2.1 won’t work either.

Is upgrading my 2.1 version of WP manually my best option from here?

My site was down all day due to some server issues. I’m trying to work them out now. The site is back up now (hopefully for good), so if you tried to look earlier and couldn’t find it, I’d really appreciate if you would try and help me again.

Can you go check again? I upgraded to 2.3.3 and the site went down for some strange reason. it’s back up now.

I tried taking down the youtube video I had posted, but the sidebar was still messed up afterwards.

I’ve got my hosting company looking into this problem as well, but they want me to re-install WordPress. I am not sure that is the right thing to do.

I have been looking through some other threads. Could I be having the same apache server issue as this person?

Or could it be a re-direct problem like this person is having?

I figured I would post some basic info to see if it would help with the diagnosis.

I just upgraded in the last 3 weeks to WP 2.2.1
My hosts’ server operating system is Linux running apache version 1.3.37 (Unix)

I am using the Torn 2.0 + Widgets theme with the following plug ins activated:

Democracy
Enforce www. Preference
Google Sitemaps
SEO Title Tag
Simple Tags
Spam Karma 2
WP-Contact Form
WP-Admin Bar 2

I can create and edit posts fine. I can edit pages with no problems. I just can’t create a new page.
