I figured it out. I had to sign out of wordpress admin. The bar at the top was blocking it. Tks

Right, but if you want your home page to display posts from only certain categories, you are out of luck unless you hire a programmer to do it. Widgets don’t work I’ve tried this. You can use a featured post widget, but there is not way to limit the number of posts per page ( ie have 10 posts only before there is a “next page” link at the bottom.

prob is the link to :home gets made to something like ” site.com/home” and not “site.com

i need it to be a home page that links to the home page. guess this is more difficult than i thought/

I’ve tried this but it forces me to use the URL site.com/home-4

Tried pasting into mac’s text editor, that made no difference.

The site is a brand new installation. The only plug in is askimet, and I doubt that is causing this, but thank you though for the good suggestions.

Switched back to the original theme – same thing. Tks

Nevermind just figured it out. I had to add the custom link in the menu area.

Hi. I’m talking about for beginners that don’t know how to go in and manually change the code.
A lot of people want to use WP as non “blog” platform.

I figured out what I was doing wrong. Realized the image needs to be placed before the first letter of the paragraph, and not in middle of a paragraph.
