Hi Ludwig,
thanks for your answer.
I have to categorys of posts:
1) News
2) SEO TextsI would use your plugin to post my NEWS to facebook.
The second category Seo Texts are populated automatic by another plugin “csv-2-post” with full automatic: 20 posts per day.
Your auto-poster plugin was configured to only post NEWS category posts to facebook, but also posts the SEO Text category posts to facebook.
Best regards,
kaiHello Ryan,
I′ll try to generate the error again and make some screenshots.

In reply to: [CSV 2 POST] [Plugin: CSV 2 POST] Feature idea: Rotating or random templatesello Ryan,
sounds good.
I′m very curious about all the upcoming features ??Cant′t find “Easy CSV Importer” on the WP plugin repository ??
As mentioned above I use your plugin not for shopping solution, but to generate a lot of SEO pages, so it would be nice to have some rotation or random selection of content to have a more “natural look”

In reply to: [CSV 2 POST] [Plugin: CSV 2 POST] Bug: Post Updates didn′t workHello Ryan,
thanks for your answer. Maybe I don′t use the function in the correct way
Never read the manual ??
My approach was to change one field of one row by doing an update with phpmyadmin.
I only changed the ZIP Code of one town.
After that I start a manual update of the post by entering its WP id in the manual update field.
The post was updated, but not to its new zip code. A completely new unused record was used to populate the post.
After that I generate 5 new posts and the same dataset was used again for a new post.
After that I had a look in the table and found:
The reference to the old post was still there and unchanged.
The content of the post in WP was NOT the content of the data row.The reference of the new post was correct to the new post with the content. The same content was on the old post.
Strange!
If you want I can grant you access to my live server to check it there..

In reply to: [CSV 2 POST] [Plugin: CSV 2 POST] Create Data Import Jobs problemSometimes I run in trouble with excel exported csv files and the delimiters.
Another good hint is using an utf-8 converter after csv file creation.
It will help avoid any problem with special characters.

Did you first upload your csv?
Double check your csv in a plain text editor.Maybe try another browser?

In reply to: [CSV 2 POST] CSV 2 POST WikiHi Ryan,
that sounds like a good idea.
Unfortunally I have no experience in setting up and maintenance a wiki system, so I can′t help.át the moment I dont know exactly your approach for using a wiki system.
But maybe this is a good hint:
At our company (internet/web e-commerce projects) we used a kind of wiki system for our project management, documentation, bugtrack and ticket system for some of our projects.
It′s a free system – if you want you can have a look at it:
I think this could fullfill all your needs….

I just post a comment on the other plugins page:

Hello Ryan,
just tested your workaround. I changed one field of one record in the db.
Put all update flags in csv2post backend to “on” – but nothing happened.
After that I trigger a “manual update” of the post by it′s id (2337)
Now some strange behaviour:
This post (id 2337) was updated to a new data-set from the db – I check it out – it was the next unused dataset.
The old dataset (with my change) was not used. So now the old dataset has no more correspondening post on my blog ??
in the csv2post table the old dataset is still referenced to post 2337, but the content of 2337 is completely false.
Now i generated 5 new posts:
The first new post has the same content as my updated post 2337.
Argl….
Maybe you can fix this ??
Best regards,
KaiRyan you are my hero ??
Thanx for all
kai
Is there any work around for that instead of deleting all posts and generate it again?

Have to say csv2post is really a great plugin!

KaiHmmm… did your DB runs UTF8 ?
Hello Antorome,
I exported my data from an excel file using “Save as CSV (MS DOS)”.
This one is ANSI.
After I read your hint I downloaded a freeware text editor who can convert to UTF-8 . It was PSPad ( https://www.pspad.com/ )
After loading my excel generated csv I convert to UTF-8 and save it again.
Import works fine.
The delimiters are the excel default: ; and (maybe) ‘ – but quote was not used…
