In reply to: [All-in-One WP Migration and Backup] Problem RestoringSorry a little update here,
I just shut the page down and restarted my browser. If I connect to my localhost, I can see the migrated page (1 thing good) but if I log in to WP via the localhost:8888/wp-admin, all I get after the logon is a blank page.
BTW i was stuck on “7756 files… 0%” for over 1h30
How do I access my dashboard?

first see if you installed the necessary plugins (should be 2)This will add the [tx] options
from there you can start adding your items and get close to the demo.Forum: Themes and Templates

In reply to: Error Creating a wp-config fileWhere to start.
Found the file, but cant open it. Don’t have the right App to view it, it seems.
80 gives me an error page: Can’t connect.
On the reg Installation, if I type localhost:8888, my WP page comes up, with no glitch. But if i replace the folders content with the content of a clean DLDed WP (unzipped), and add the config file, all i get is a white page. no error or anything.
same thing if i just replace the config file of the working folder with my original one.as far as i can tell they’re the same. except for the KEY’s.
restarted MAMP, Restarted the Browser, same results.
a mystery

In reply to: Error Creating a wp-config fileHi Digico
As an educational exercise,
i deleted my WP folder and replaced it with a clean downloaded version.I then deleted the sample file and replaced it with a config file that i filed out.
when i type loalhost:8888 in my browser i now get a white page. What ame i missing? I compered the my config file and the onethat was insataled using the web browser and they look thew same (exept for the AUTh_key)
Also when i look ate the web instalation( that worked)the SAmple file is still in the foulder.
