@danieliser – That’s so weird! It’s definitely not happening anymore. Here are a few of my thoughts as to why:

I had 4 similar popups, all lightboxes with the same formatting and similar classes in them. They all housed gravity forms. All popups were activated by button clicks and were positioned similarly.

Recently I added another popup (the welcome mat-style popup at the bottom) and I was having some strange conflicts. If the welcome mat was up and you clicked on a contact button to bring up the lightbox, it wouldn’t show the lightbox form at all or get rid of the welcome mat. I went through and disable the “stackable” option on all the popups but it was still happening. I ended up coding a jquery event on button click that would exit the welcome mat, and that fixed it.

There was one more issue I was having, which was caused by my setting the .pum-overlay to position:relative instead of absolute or fixed. That pushed the form off the screen only sometimes but I ended up squishing the form so I didn’t need any overflow scrolling. So I changed them all back to fixed.

Not sure if any of that will be helpful if you come across this again.

Thanks for the heads up about Firefox – I thought I fixed that bug but I’ll take another look.

To answer your other question about the background: I used the foggy plugin by nbartlomiej. I ended up adding a jquery mutation observer to check when any .pum-overlays were getting set to display:block, then I activated the foggy plugin for the topmost div in the body that didn’t inlclude the popup. I also added a translucent white filter to further mimic the frosted glass look that is so popular with the kids nowadays ??

    Thanks for your help!

Thanks! I still haven’t been able to figure it out.

… forgot to add browser details. I’m using Chrome 56.0.2924.87 on OSX El Capitan.

In firefox it breaks the header so it’s not fixed anymore.

This error doesn’t occur in Safari.

    Hi ianbee,

You can pause the music on the player. If you want the button on the post to change to say “Pause”, I’m not sure if this is possible. My only guess would be to somehow call to the player to hit the pause button on the player when you press it in the post…

    Hi medred,

As far as I know, Audiobar only works with music on your site, and only on the home page.

Sorry for the late reply. Have you gotten it working?

Can you give us a link to your site?

Your music plays for me when I click it :]

Maybe browser problem? Unless you fixed it within a few hours.

    Hi Joe,

    Thanks for checking out Audiobar!

One thing to check for is to make sure that your browser isn’t giving you a cached version of your site. You can either delete all temporary data or reload the page while skipping the cache.

Try that and let me know if weird things are still happening.

    Sincerely,
    Chad.

    Hi GioJovan,

Thanks for sharing your work with us :] It unfortunately doesn’t prevent people downloading the source files (whose URLs are listed in the page’s source code) but it’s definitely a deterrent.

There is actually a new service being developed to run alongside Audiobar called Audiowall. Audiowall is a protection service that encrypts the mp3’s URL and blocks access to them. It will be a paid service available later this year.

Audiowall is still in alpha right now, so thanks again for your work!

    Chad.

    Hi xalexas,

Thanks for checking out Audiobar. There isn’t a standard way to automatically stop (or pause) the music, but if you feel comfortable inserting some code, I can talk to the programmer to see if he can whip something up for you! I’ll reply here when he gets back to me about it.

I will also make note of this feature to include it in future versions.

    Thanks,
    Chad.

    Hi jroakes,

Does the site you’re testing work in firefox? I just checked my own site and everything is fine… https://www.chadwimberly.com Try updating your java plugin if my site doesn’t work.

iOS support is high on the to-do list, but it’s unfortunately not stable yet. I’ve seen it work on some iPhones, but unfortunately none of us have iPads to test it with! Poor man’s problem, I suppose ??

If you are still having problems, feel free to post a link to your website so I can take a look at what’s going on!

    Thanks for using Audiobar,
    Chad.

Well that’s strange! That’s what audiobar is supposed to do!

Thanks for linking to your site – most people don’t, and it makes it hard to diagnose. I think the problem lies in your permalink settings. When I navigate on your page, I see the browser heading to parentesoftrafford.com/index.php/aboutus/, and then reloading to parentesoftrafford.com/#/index.php/aboutus/

The # is the most important part. That’s what allows audiobar to make an iFrame, which is basically a site within a site. Check your permalink settings. It seems your website is forcing to navigate through index.php, and forcing out the #. Try resetting the settings to defaults.

Or maybe there is some other plugin (or the host, possibly) that is forcing the # out?

For example, look at my site https://chadwimberly.com/#/ to see how the URLs look when you navigate…

    Let me know your findings,
    Chad.

    Hi Zondar,

I’m sorry you had a difficult experience with Audiobar. Are you using Audiobar on a multi-site installation? As of now, Audiobar doesn’t support multi-sites but we are definitely working on it. Sorry for the inconvenience.

As far as the interface goes, we are currently in the middle of an entire interface redesign and rebranding. I hope you will check us out in the future when the new version comes out! I think you will like our new floating console design much more.

    Sincerely,
    Chad.

    Hi Jonibean,

In order for Audiobar to load the mp3 html links, they have to be on the front page. Also, make sure the mp3s are hosted on your own site (for example, jonibean.com/song.mp3) – we’ve had a few problems trying to get Audiobar to work with mp3s on other sites.

And as for Audiobar being at the bottom, you did chose it to be on the bottom in the settings, correct? If not, there could be a different problem afoot… If you fiddle with it and still are having trouble, post a link to your website here and I can take a look.

    Let me know,
    Chad.

    Hi Roman,

Short answer: if your songs are all listed in the first post, users can click on whatever song they want to play first. Unless something strange is happening, there should be a “play” button next to each song. Take a look at https://www.chadwimberly.com to make sure your site looks like it should.

Long answer: I’ll make your case for the ability to randomize songs in the next version! We are currently working on a whole new player, so things are going to look and work a little differently. As of right now I think the only way to do that is to randomize which html link comes up first in your post… Sorry :/

    Chad.
