We’re using WordPress’s functions to create the boxes and we’re not keen to override it.

We’ll have another look though, to see how it could work.

Which version of More Fields and WordPress are you using?

That’s what we like to hear.

We’re relying on the possibilities of MCE here and not really on More Fields, but upload/insert actually works, but the posts main textarea hijacks the javascript call to insert the image.

What you can do is to copy and paste it from there. I know it’s not a nice solution, but at least it is a solution.

More Fields has just been released in release candidate. Look for Alternate versions.

@ianaleksander @andy7629: Look for the release candidates of More Fields 2.0 and More Types 1.0.

This seems strange. It would be the correct way of doing things. (Except that with WordPress 3.0 you should be using More Fields 2.0, that hasn’t been released yet, and More Types 1.0 that is in release candidate state.)

More Types is post types (like posts and pages). More Taxonomies creates taxonomies (like tags and categories).

On a music site you could perhaps set up a specific post type for reviews and use additional taxonomies (like musicians and genres) to create better listings for discographies and types of music.

Sure, you could use tags in many cases, but with tags the review of a new jazz record that mentions Miles Davis is weighed the same as the tag for Miles Davis on the review of “Kind of Blue”.
