Oh that numeric post identifier is the reason why the automatic redirect works even when the url is completely changed.

Because all this while I have assumed there was something that wordpress knows about the post apart from the permalink.

So with my original question, I think the post identifier is gone once I unpublish a post and keep it as a draft. And when I republish it wordpress takes up a new post id. Am I right on this?

But WordPress does generally redirect an active post even when the url is completely changed right. I know it does. Wondering how that works.

I didn’t know the tools page. I have cleared cache. But it said 0 rows cleared.

I used the featured image instead. I really wanted to use the image as a large banner. It’s ok with the featured image for now.

Presently I have disabled AMP plugin and if I let it be, will the search index resolve itself in the coming days by showing only standard non-amp in the result page?

But I would definitely want you guys to earn some money with all the work you have put in and continue to. I hope there would be a lot of takers for a premium version of your plugin with some exclusive features at a nominal price.

About the AMP ads thing I found out letting sitekit take control of the ads is better. Because Adinserter is just too complicated. And then I discovered that the link units are not amp-compatible. That’s why I let it be.

What I did was updated that small bit of code under header/footer scripts off the genesis theme.

I am using the Genesis framework with the eleven40 theme.

@jamesosborne I just tried it. The AMP plugin strips away the body, height that is mentioned in the ad code. So it is not displayed.

I don’t think those ads plugins work well together with the official AMP plugin. And I have standard mode enabled.

@jamesosborne Thanks for confirming. I learned it because in the preview window of the dashboard there was these blocks that were not like the others, which you can delete from the placement.

I am going to try Ad Inserter. I hope the AMP plugin doesn’t strip the code to comply with AMP standards. Cos I have already tried once and the ad code was stripped off. Thereby no ads were displayed.
