yes changed wp options for the localhost to work…

The reason why local installation worked was because the live server was active and the import option was able to download all featured image (media) and attach to the posts.

However, if the site was crashed and the wp uploads directory on the live site was not accessible, it will show an error at the time of import as ‘failed to import media’

then we dont have any option other than to set featured image one by one to 200+ posts! Even if we repair the links with the plugin, we have to assign featured image separately.

So am I right? Download and import attachments option is useless once the live site crash!

Tried chrome. Same issue but unistalled some recent programs from Windows and they are gone. thanks for your support. Just panicked thinking someone accessed my host and installed some malware
