thank you for responding, i did try that and it hasn’t helped.

it turns out clicking ‘next’ creates a new URL. from my stats i can that all my viewers at:
https://jimkanicki.com/2014/04/16/krm-roby-to-bengals/

are exiting on
https://jimkanicki.com/2014/04/16/krm-roby-to-bengals/nggallery/image/andy-dalton-2nd-int-1/

??

Thank you the reply and the useful thumbnail editor but you misunderstand my issue:

1. If one places any picture into a Page, that picture becomes the Featured Image.
2. The Page template places the Featured Image at the top of your page.
3. There is no way to disable either #1 or #2.

Thus, if you wish to place a picture at the top of a Page, your readers will see two pictures at the top of the page.

Yes this has been discussed in other threads.
No this has not been resolved.

okie doke, seems to be working and i can’t rule out cached pages in one of my browsers as why it wasn’t working earlier. SORRY!

NEVER MIND!! Working now. FWIW, here is what I got back from DISQUS:

Try enabling the ‘Output Javascript in footer’ checkbox under Advanced Options in the Disqus plugin. This will output Disqus JavaScript in the footer and should fix this.

If that doesn’t work, this may be caused by your current theme or a plugin. You can test this by temporarily reverting to the default WordPress theme and (if comments counts are still not working) temporarily disabling all plugins except for Disqus.

The Disqus wordpress plugin is designed to replace #comments with #disqus_thread, but this may not work for all WordPress themes.

thank you for this workaround. i followed your suggestion and clicking on the comments link takes me straight to disqus. perfect.

but for some reason, this fix caused me to lose the font-awesome comments icon.

i don’t hate the new look, but preferred the old one. any thoughts on what i might have missed.

Haha, I know it’s quite a list, will probably get longer. Lol.

1. “I don’t understand what the point spread function does, or should do.”
It would be an edit-able field where a hyphen is currently placed. It would serve a cosmetic purpose letting me tell my players what the point spread is.
Here’s a screencap that helps explain.

2. “Add the following code to your template (between script tags) or add it to the assets/pool.js file.”
I’m looking forward to trying this but, I’m sorry, into which template should I add this? Would page.php be the right one? Which script tags should I look for? (I can’t get to assets/pool.js ftp without asking someone for help.)

i’ve done precisely as you said (textwrangler is legit) and used semicolons. now the error says:
Imported csv file should contain 18 columns (header contains 124 columns). See help page for the correct format.

so now i will try to do 18 columns and will let you know if that fixes it. but i think the prob may be on the code side.

(separately, would be nice if the date format were not so rigid.)
