I would like to help you, but this theme is not free, so I am not able to test the plugin with it.

I seems your theme is doing some things quite differently than ordinary WP themes. For example: If I take Twenty Eleven Theme and clear all display options, the shortcodes are still working as expected. And the same for all other themes I have tried.

I suggest you contact the theme author and ask him to explain how the theme is handling shortcodes and categories. Perhaps he will be able to help you.

If I add <?php echo do_shortcode( '[hupso]' ); ?> to the bottom
of page.php in Twenty Eleven Theme it works correctly. Can you try this?

Adding custom images is not yet possible. But it is on the TODO list, so it will soon be possible.

This is possible. Update plugin to version 3.8.
Then enter your website root url under ‘Custom url’ in Settings.

Add Hupso share buttons widget, then go to Hupso plugin settings and clear all fields in “Show buttons on” section.

Go to WP Administration, click on “Plugins”, find “Hupso” and click on “Settings next” to it.

In Hupso Settings you just check Stumble Upon button and click “Save Settings” button at the bottom.

I will add this option in next version (3.7), so you will be able to enable it.

Interesting question. I am no EU privacy lawyer, but I believe the script served from CDN complies fully with EU cookie and privacy laws. Why? Because it does not serve or use cookies at all. And since there is no need to register for the service to use it, you do not have to give away any personal information, such as your name or your email address. So the site does not have any personal information about you. There are many reasons, why it is better for such a service to run from external CDN: better speed, more easy to fix bugs and more easy to upgrade. More about it is explained in the FAQ.
