Hi @alfy40
Thank you for your kind reply and for updating your rating — it really means a lot to us. I completely understand that you’re busy and needed to switch to another solution.
We’re sorry to see you go, but we’ll keep working hard to improve WP Statistics. I hope one day we can welcome you back as a happy user.
Wishing you all the best!
Kind regards,
NavidHi @pixelbits ,
Thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear about your experience. We’re working hard to improve WP Statistics, especially over the past nine months, by adding more features for our free users and enhancing the overall experience. We plan to keep improving the plugin to provide a better experience for everyone.
In our next update, we’re adding more detailed data for referral reports, including search engines, social media, and paid ads, all available for free.
That said, developing a good product is expensive, and to keep improving, we need to offer some features for premium users. This helps us grow in a healthy way and continue building the plugin.
If you have specific feedback, I’d love to hear it! Your suggestions really help us make the plugin better.
Lastly, since ratings like yours stay visible and affect our reputation, we’d really appreciate it if you’d reconsider once we improve things for you. Please let me know how we can help!
Best,
NavidHi @alfy40
Thank you for your feedback, and we’re really sorry for the trouble you’ve faced. We aim to provide a smooth experience for all users, and we’re committed to fixing any issues.
It seems the plugin might be slowing down your site, and we’d love to know more to help find the exact cause. We have features in the dashboard, admin bar, and post sections that could be causing this. You can try turning these off under Statistics → Settings → Display Options to see if it helps. If you find which setting makes a difference, it would really help us solve the issue faster.
If you’ve noticed any specific database queries causing the slowdown, we’d be thankful if you could share them for us to investigate. Also, providing a screenshot or copy of the Statistics → Optimization → Overview & Info page would give us a better idea of your site’s resources and database records.
We are actively working on improving the plugin’s queries, and you’ll see some good improvements in future updates. While we know the plugin can take longer when more data is recorded, this also depends on your server’s resources.
We’re here to help and fix any problems, and we really appreciate your patience. If it helps, we’d love it if you could reconsider your rating after we’ve addressed the issue.

Responsable Produit, WP StatisticsHi @inoda ,
I wanted to let you know that we’ve just released version 14.10.1, which includes several enhancements and bug fixes. The issue you reported regarding the “Previous Period” values showing when hovering over the graph has been fixed in this version.
Additionally, we’re planning to introduce an option to disable the “Previous Period” feature across the entire plugin in the next upcoming release (14.10.2), so stay tuned for that!
Best regards,
NavidIt depends on how you’ve configured WP Statistics. By default, WP Statistics is a privacy-focused analytics tool that doesn’t require user consent, as it doesn’t collect personally identifiable information (PII). For more details, you can refer to these links:
To check if your WP Statistics setup requires consent, go to the Privacy Audit page in your WP Statistics settings. At the bottom, in the FAQ section, the first question and its answer will guide you. For more on the Privacy Audit feature, see: Privacy Audit
If your website requires user consent based on WP Statistics settings, you can integrate a compatible consent plugin. More info here: WP Consent Level Integration
With consent enforcement, you might see reduced traffic, similar to what you experienced with GA4. However, the good news is that if consent is required, you can enable the Anonymous Tracking feature, which allows you to collect traffic data without losing insights. Learn more: Anonymous Tracking in WP Statistics
Hi @inoda ,
First off, I apologize for the mistake in my previous message. The new setting to disable the “Previous Period” feature will actually be available in one of the upcoming updates, either in version 14.10.1 or 14.10.2, so you should have access to it within the next week or two.
Regarding the issue you mentioned about the numbers still displaying when hovering over the graph after hiding the previous period, you are absolutely correct. I’ve reported this issue to our team, and we’re working on getting it fixed.
Thanks,
NavidHi @panhandleponics ,
Thank you for sharing your feedback, and I’m sorry to hear about the issues you’ve experienced. We’re working hard to fix the bugs and prevent such problems in the future. Our goal is to provide a great experience for you and all our users, and we hope to do better moving forward.
Regarding server-side tracking, after reading your comment and receiving feedback from other users, we’ve spent more time comparing the two methods. We found that server-side tracking shows more views compared to client-side, and we’ve noticed that the analytics data from client-side tracking is more accurate. We’re dedicating additional time to improve our accuracy and will provide better documentation for client-side tracking to help you make the most of it.
If you’d like, we can take a deeper look at the specific problem you’re facing. Please send us an email through our contact page, and we’ll be happy to assist further.
Also, regarding the first part of your feedback, could you provide more details about which specific plugin feature or part of the plugin you encountered issues with? This will help us investigate and resolve the problem more effectively.
Best regards,
Navid
Product Manager, WP StatisticsThank you so much for your detailed feedback and suggestions! I really appreciate the thought you’ve put into this.
While our current code base doesn’t allow for such specific customizations just yet, we’re actively working on a completely new user interface, and we will certainly consider these points as we move forward.
In the meantime, we’re adding a new setting under Settings -> Display Options that will allow you to disable the “Previous Period” feature in the graphs. This option will be available in one of the upcoming updates, either in version 14.11.1 or 14.11.2.
