Forum: Developing with WordPress
In reply to: Select a thumbnail to open larger on the same pageHi BC – thanks for the response. I think you’re right about the custom coding, and the customer wanting to see the legs under the top. But you’re right, too, it would be cost-prohibitive.

In reply to: Select a thumbnail to open larger on the same pageHi t-p. I appreciate you reaching out. I don’t think I can use an attachment page, although it could just be because I’m not a coder.

You can see what I mean by visiting that link.
Any other ideas?

In reply to: Can I delete a Header.PHP file?Hi barnez, and thanks so much for your reply.
I found the header code in the header.php file in the child theme and replaced it with an image.
It looks great, and I thank you so much for pointing me in the right direction!

In reply to: Can I delete a Header.PHP file?OK. I thought since the header.php file was part of the WordPress infrastructure, it wasn’t really a slider revolution problem. It could have been any slider software and I’d still need to know if I’ll break the site if I delete a header.php
No?
Thanks. Well, I published the last blog after reconnecting successfully. But, I’ll wait til the next one publishes and see what happens.
Should I look for it in the Activities section of LinkedIn???
Hi and thanks for your reply.
I just did reconnect and when I look in the Jetpack settings in WordPress, it says that it is sharing with Twitter and Linkedin.
Am I correct in assuming that the post will show on Linkedin in the Activities section? If so, then it’s not appearing.
The LinkedIn page is https://www.linkedin.com/in/davierealestate/
And, the last post (https://www.terisrealestate.com/home-selling-tips-prepare-your-house-for-photos/) on this blog: https://www.terisrealestate.com/our-blog/
was published yesterday after I reconnected and all indications were that it was working yesterday. Just now, I changed its status to Draft and then republished.When/where should I be seeing it on the Linkedin page?
Thanks!

In reply to: [Easy Testimonials] How to Reorder TestimonialsHi Richard – Thanks for the post. Yes, the date thing would work. I can choose not to display the date and then just assign a date that puts them in the order I’d like them in. That would be best anyway since when you first start using the plugin, it looks like all the testimonials happened on the same day ??
Love the plugin. Thanks!
Too bad about Siteground.

In reply to: [WP Customer Reviews] Not getting any email alertsThat’s it Bompus! Thanks. I thought it was using the email assigned to the User identified as the admin. Sorry to bother you with an operator error! It’s working now.

In reply to: [WP Customer Reviews] Not getting any email alertsHi Bompus – sorry for the duplicate questions. There have been so few responses here, so I wanted to try and catch you somehow.
I upgraded to V3 and I’m still not getting emails. When someone comments on a post, I get the emails, so I think the standard WP email function is working.
Any ideas on troubleshooting?
Thanks,

In reply to: [WP Customer Reviews] Email AlertsI’d like the answer to this, also. Does anyone know if the plugin can send email alerts when a review is submitted?

In reply to: Password protect returns 404Here’s the rest of the story.
I have a plugin from my host that does a number of things to optimize the WordPress installation.
One thing it does is change the login url from wp-admin to something random. Once I disabled that part of the plugin, the password protection works fine.
And, since I use very strong passwords, guess I won’t worry about using the standard login url.
Thanks to everyone for your time and assistance.

In reply to: Password protect returns 404I have asked my host to look into the issue. Hopefully I’ll get a fix somehow!

In reply to: Password protect returns 404Thanks again. Paul from Memberpress will be getting back to me, so hopefully he’ll have the silver bullet.
