I went ahead and tried to migrate to a blogspot blog and it’s a nightmare! Blogspot changed and added text to my html and now when I tried to import from blogspot to WP, it didn’t really work. I cannot post from WP and have it show up because blogspot is still taking over. I don’t suggest that method.

I’ve deleted my blog from my server and have reloaded the pages from my back-up on my hard-drive. Now to figure out what the next step is.

I am in exactly the same situation and have questions before I actually upload WP files and import from my self-hosted blogger blog. I’ve run my backups and have all the html & CSS files saved.

I’d love to know what process you ended up using and how it worked.

Are you keeping the same url for your blog? I’d like to keep the same address for mine.

Is your old data and new data in the same directory? My current blog is at /public_html/blog

What happens when you import? Does it keep your data in the same place and just convert it to WordPress formatting?

I’m actually excited to be leaving Blogger.com – this forced move will be good for my business.
