  • I was just trying to do what was suggested above:

    If you cant edit the file, delete it (wp-admin/install.php) OFF your server and upload a fresh one out of the zip.

    I’m just getting the error message when I login. I don’t know what to do. The site was find this morning then this afternoon – bad!!

    HMMMMMm

    I’m having the same problem. I believe my problem may have started after activating the real-wysiwyg plugin. I deactivated the plugin then deleted it, but my editor panels look like the gents above. I also have the
    Visual Editor under user/profile checked.

    Should I try uploading the entire wp-admin folder?

    I don’t know if this is related but I also have a problem with my text looking awful! The text is all broken up – but when viewed on another computer it is fine. I can’t seem to get anyone to respond to my post regarding that problem.

    I have been getting the same problem. I have not done anything to change my set other than installed a plugin (real-wysiwyg.) I deactivated the plugin then deleted it. Earlier today the website has been opening fine. I tried uploading a “fresh” install.php file from the zip file. It did not make a difference. What could have possibly gone wrong.

    This is the error message I get.

    Warning: main(../wp-config.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/baylands/public_html/wordpress/wp-admin/install-helper.php on line 2

    Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required ‘../wp-config.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php:/home/baylands/public_html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/simpleflickr/phpFlickr/PEAR’) in /home/baylands/public_html/wordpress/wp-admin/install-helper.php on line 2

    I check my (install-helper.php) file it reads as the following.

    <?php
    require_once(‘../wp-config.php’);
    $debug = 0;

    Help!!!!!! I still have no answer. Has anyone had success in adding a file upload field in cforms? Are there “other” settings that need to be set for this option to work?

    I just now checked the website on another computer. You’re right the text looks good on that computer too! Hm, so still the question – why is just that one template on my computer look uky. In fact I remember now that the text did not look good on one other computer that was used at a web group meeting.

    ????????

    I’m using Firefox 2 as well. Where do I change the personal settings to improve the quality? In my “display properites” under appearance the font is set to “normal” and the screen resolution is set to 1024 x 768.

    BUT……I don’t think that is the problem. When I apply different wordpress templates the text looks great. Only the template that I customized looks bad. The only things I customized in the template is the style sheet (the color of the font and the header image) and other minor changes like adding a “home” link to another website version. So why would one template look “uky” and another “great” on my computer?

    Thanks for your time.

    Here is a link to my site
    https://www.baylandscaping.net/wordpress/

    Do I have to manually edit every css rule to improve the text throughout the site?

    Sorry – I’m a newy at this?
