OK, so I didn’t find a real solution, but I did find a workaround, and that’s good enough for me right now!

When I duplicate, I always use a ‘template’ site to copy. This time I got errors when I tried to duplicate from the template. So I tried using a different one of the multisite sites I had copied before, and it worked perfectly! I had to do some fiddling, but a lot less than setting up theme, uploading the images, and copying the posts.

Got it, thanks! This is what worked for me:

#nav-header .nav { text-align: center; }

I’m using the header menu (not the topbar menu, they must be different!). The code I’d copied earlier missed out the ‘ .nav’ part, which I realised when looking at the code you provided. It’s the little things! Thanks.

Great, thanks for those ideas. I’ve done a lot of negotiating with my host, and they keep saying it is my fault so I will keep searching through my plugins. I thought it was probably to be connected to the multisite setup, but it’s good to know I can cross that off the list. Thanks again.

Hi there, this happened to me too. You change the user reference like this…

Go to the dashboard of the site that is not showing. Go Settings -> Multisite Language Switcher. Scroll all the way down. Look for Advanced Settings, then User Reference. Select your name/admin in the User Reference drop down. Click Update.

This is what worked for me, so I hope this solves your problem too.

Oh hang on, I get it now! On my main site (in English), I put ‘English’ in the description field. On my translated site (in Spanish), I put ‘Spanish’ in the description field.

Hi Dennis. I’m not sure I’m using the description field properly. I have a Spanish translation site and even though I put the word ‘English’ into the description box, I still get this at bottom of my linked posts:

I can load the customizer (with an error message), and I can make the changes and click publish/save, but when I leave the customizer the changes have not been applied to the site after all. Thanks for your help!
