  • Hi Chris,
    Unfortunately I could not get this to work for me. I suspect that the template customization might only be used for the front end of the website, but, not to edit the fields, etc. in the administrator editor.

    Hi!
    I just want to say I would like to know the same.
    In my case, for example, I would like to modify the list of employment types, as the organisation I work for has some unique employment types, and the list that is provided as standard, is not applicable, hence it needs to be overwritten. Preferably in the theme.

    In the future, I also suggest, that the administrator of the website can choose which (of the standard) employment types to include and whether they want to add something completely new.

    There may be some employment types that are unique to the organization or the industry.

    Hey, so I also noticed an issue with the plugin. I have a website currently under development. It is the latest version of wordpress (version 5.7.1), running on php version 7.3. I am also using the Custom Post Type User Interface and Advanced Custom Fields plugins. The problem is when I use them together, and use the following PHP code in the custom archive page I created from scratch, that page runs into an error. Sample code is:

    $str = 'my dog sat on a hat';//imagine this value is actually stored in the database
     from a custom field, and pulled using the get_field() function.

    if(str_contains($str, 'dog')){
    //do something here
    }

    Now, it seems as though the issue / conflict is with the php function ‘str_contains’, however, the previous version of this plugin did not have that specific issue. I have tested everything else to the best of my ability, and narrowed it down to this.

    Ok so , not quite resolved … without the Manage Settings option others can not edit the different files. So I still need some help here. I have users who should be able to upload via ftp, and edit the files individually, but, they should not be able to adjust the settings or view any server information.

    @hagentertainment yes I did. I remember looking at what the plugin contributor advised and creating a custom plugin for an custom aiovg template, and set it so that if the category was “x” display the page by ordering and grouping the videos the way I wanted (in my case I had a custom field titled “year”, because the subject matter of videos in the relevant category would have pertained to things that occurred within a specific year, so for that particular category, I needed to order and group by the year), but if not, then the website should display the videos using the standard template layout.

    Hello!
    I was just coming to report the same issue. I do not have Rev Slider, however, I do have Site Origin Page Builder installed.

    I will now test by disabling Site Origin Page Builder and see if this works.

    What I will say though is the issue with customizer is the items are there, but, the inline css is set to display: none.

    Update: from my personal tests, Page Builder by Site Origin does not appear to be at fault.

    Update #2: further testing revealed that by entering the troubleshooting mode (which disables all themes and plugins), the issue is fixed, and testing it with my theme enabled (whilst all plugins remained disabled) the issue is also fixed. Therefore, I can only assume it is one of the plugins … I’m still troubleshooting though.

    Update #3: for me, the issue was with the plugin gs testimonials lite.

    Just wondering if there is any update in this regard!

    To Whom It May Concern,
    I have also just downloaded and installed this plugin on a staging site and I’m experiencing the same problem.
