I’ll wait for the updated WP-optimise.
On the plus side, I looked at my error logs and realised that WordPress was running out of memory all the time so upped that.

I have the same problem. I deleted the plugin but it won’t activate. It always gives the warning message but it is the plugin creating the file it is moaning about!

Thanks for the recommendation. I don’t always see the emails when I check so I’m not sure how I will know if the problem is there or not but I will have a go.

I’ve re-enabled auto-optimise and cache enabler, cleared the caches and they seem to be working ok again.
