In reply to: [nrelate Related Content] nRelate related posts disappeared@nemoprofeta — Thanks for using nRelate on your site. We apologize for the inconvenience but we were experiencing some datacenter issues which caused some issues for us. This has been resolved. In reply to: [nrelate Related Content] nrelate Related Content not working again@winston_smith — Thanks for using nRelate on your site. I took a look and noticed that our API call never gets made even though it appears in your page source, which is odd. Have you made any changes or installed any new plugins that could be interfering? We are continuing to trouble shoot this issue for you.

In reply to: [nrelate Related Content] plugin not working after changing domainselliefr — Thanks for using nRelate on your site. I checked it out and everything looks good on the back end, but for some reason our API call is getting cancelled on your page which is breaking the plugin. We couldn’t reproduce the issue by installing the velvet blue plugin. Can you please send us a complete list of your plugins list to [email protected] so we can trouble shoot further? Here’s how you can send over the plugins list easily: https://nrelate.com/theblog/2011/03/14/getting-support-for-our-plugin/

@ballsdotie — You can place the nRelate plugin exactly where you want it to show on the page by following the instructions for “Manually Inserting PHP function into your FUNCTIONS.PHP FILE” here: https://nrelate.com/theblog/2011/12/22/manually-adding-nrelate-code-to-your-wordpress-template/

@andersvinther2 — For better SEO, you can use the non-javascript version of our plugin. This option is located on the plugin’s settings page. Non-javascript allows for links to be indexed by search engines. The only difference between non-js vs. js is that with non-js, cache clearing happens on both your end as well as ours (with js cache clearing is only on our end).
It’s also worth it to note that with either version of our plugin, we are definitely better for SEO than some of the other related content plugins out there, which can re-direct your links through there own site, which we guarantee that we NEVER do so ‘link-juice’ is all yours to keep.
@anilagarwal — Thanks for providing everyone with the additional information :). Glad to see that you were able to resolve your formatting issues while continuing to use the non-js version of our plugin.

In reply to: [nrelate Related Content] [Plugin: nrelate Related Content] Partner Settings@mfalk75 — We resolved this issue a while back via our support forum at nrelate.com/support, but I am closing out tickets here and wanted to make sure that you received a response on this page as well.
If you set the plugin to show 1 related link from your blogroll, 1 related link will always show from the partner even if your site has content that is more closely related.

@cometedescierges — I apologize for the issues you’ve been experiencing with the plugin. Unfortunately, installing the old version of the plugin won’t get your old settings back but it sounds like you used the widget version of our plugin the first time around: https://nrelate.com/theblog/2012/03/04/using-the-nrelate-widget/
Hope this helps! If you need more assistance, we also have a support forum at nrelate.com/support.
Thanks,
[ Signature moderated. ]@new2wp2012 — So glad to hear that you want to use our plugin on your site! I would say go ahead and install the plugin now. New posts will be automatically added to our index as they are published, and you can always update once the new release comes out.
Thanks,
[ Signature moderated. ]@ikbenbritt — Glad to see that you were able to resolve the issue.
For anyone else reading, you don’t need automatic placement if you are using the php function for manual placement of the plugin. If you use manual placement, you’ll want to make sure that you leave any automatic placement options UNchecked in the layout settings.
