Great! That worked. Thank you very much.

I am having a similar problem. I isntalled All In One Security and activated almost everything I have a 400 out of 460 on the security strength meter. Renaming the login page really stopped all the various attempts at logging in until now. Early this morning I had several IP lockouts. So I blacklisted them and changed my login URL only to have more lockouts due to failed logins.

How did they find out the new login page so quickly?

I would like to set up the Cookie based Brute Force but have WP password protected pages and not sure if this will lock me out. I am a complete newbie and do not know anything about coding, So I need lots of help. I am using the most current version of the All In One plugin but am hesitant to try the brute force even though all the other measures were easy to set up. Please advise. I am temporarily using the login whitelist.

I have only just enabled the pingback protection based on recommendation above. I did not enable the protection because it said ‘Check this if you are not using the WP XML-RPC functionality’ sadly I don’t know what this is or if I am using it. What is it?

I too have this same ‘problem’ and I do not know how to code. I do have MH Newsdesk Pro with this do I have a way to show the tags at the bottom or not at all?
