In reply to: [bbPress Notify (No-Spam)] TimeoutsThanks Vinny. I do have CPanel access but I think this is one I’ll discuss with our hosting company. But we get perhaps 500 visits a day which I would have thought would be enough. There’s almost never a time when there’s no visitors. Do they need to be logged in visits?

In reply to: [bbPress Notify (No-Spam)] TimeoutsThank you for the very quick response. Yes, I set background notifications but then we didn’t get any notifications at all. Any other ideas? Your plug-in has worked absolutely fine for us for several years now.
Thanks very much for the release. All seems to be working fine again.
Thanks Tobias. I’ve only realised of late that it’s also impacted my site. But I know what a conscientious developer you are and since you’ve already figured out the fix, I’ll just await the update.

In reply to: [NextScripts: Social Networks Auto-Poster] Can’t autopost or repostSNAP still doesn’t work for Facebook, Google+ or LinkedIn in the latest release this week. Maybe I haven’t been clear. We have been using SNAP for several years without a problem. Our Facebook pages came before SNAP and we haven’t changed them (public page and private group). Same for Google+ and LinkedIn. SNAP quit working for autoposts and re-posts two releases ago.
So far you have sent me a link which explains in great detail how to set up our Facebook pages. That’s not helpful given that we’ve been running fine with SNAP for several years and we clearly can’t just start over on Facebook. You’ve also told me that I can’t roll back because the previous SNAP release won’t work (and isn’t available from the repository anyway).
I asked for an email address to be able to give more details of our errors but you haven’t provided one. Is there anyone who can work with me to solve this problem since the plug-in is dysfunctional and has been for several weeks now? Or do I have to upgrade to Pro to get service from someone who can really take a look at the problem and give me some advice that might move this situation forward?

In reply to: [NextScripts: Social Networks Auto-Poster] Can’t autopost or repostAlso, can you tell me where to find the previous SNAP release so that I can see if it solves the problem? The latest previous release I see on the WordPress plug-in page is quite dated (3.4 something I think).

In reply to: [NextScripts: Social Networks Auto-Poster] Can’t autopost or repostWe’ve been posting to these Facebook pages for several years. Has something changed? I can’t reinstall our Facebook public page or closed group. There’s many members and many posts.
Ah, thanks. It’s the media files themselves that’s the problem. Wouldn’t have the knowledge to build my own plug-in for that!
Justin,
Can you explain more about how this works (or point me to relevant documentation)? Do I just remove the override rule from add_meta_boxes() to enable this? Would I then load these media files to the media library and would they be inaccessible by those not authorised? Once the media file is protected, where/how is it stored? Can I specify the path? Is it also protected from people accessing it directly via the URL? Thanks.

In reply to: [Private groups] Restrict forums shown by Private Groups Recent RepliesThanks Robin. A ‘parent forum’ option for other widgets like the Forum Search and Topic Tags would be welcome as well.

In reply to: [Error Log Monitor] Problem upgrading to 1.4.1Back in business. Thanks very much for the quick response.

In reply to: [Error Log Monitor] Problem upgrading to 1.4.1I re-installed 1.4.1 and the same thing happened (no access to dashboard, shows guild-dev.org unavailable). I have found a message in a file called /public_html/wp/wp-admin/error_log:
[20-Jul-2016 18:26:34 UTC] PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘, expecting ‘)’ in /home/onenamek/public_html/wp/wp-content/plugins/error-log-monitor/Elm/Plugin.php on line 83
This message also occurred when I first tried to install the release this morning. Hopefully this is more helpful!

In reply to: [Error Log Monitor] Problem upgrading to 1.4.1It was 1.4.1. I actually tried to change the plug-in to use the fix recommended for 1.4 where you put the numbers in single quotes but it didn’t help. The only new message in my php log is:
PHP Warning: mysql_real_escape_string() expects parameter 1 to be string, object given in /home/onenamek/public_html/wp/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1129
I don’t know if it was caused by this plug-in. Sorry I can’t be more helpful.
Thanks very much. Very quick response.
