Love this feature. Helped a ton. Would love to make it work!

Sorry, should have given more context. The menu is supposed to be sticky, then when you scroll down disappear. Think it uses headroom.js. What’s also weird is that if you load the page… then refresh the page, the menu usually starts to work correctly.

So, does excluding in the main AO settings potentially fix the issues here? I tried doing that, but might need to mess with it more.

Well that shows my knowledge of this stuff :). I was just thinking if it could be excluded from deferral it might prevent the breakage.

Looked in the browser console. The only errors I saw were unrelated (one with a social sharing plugin + one with our cookie notice)

They are both using the exact same shortcode. The code should be identical. How can I help you to troubleshoot further?

Correct, we are using Extra (which uses Divi). Let’s focus on that must-read posts section… why would it be that that section would lazy load on the homepage (https://theunbox.com)…. but NOT on the posts pages: https://theunbox.com/sprezzabox/.

It’s being loaded the exact same way, through the exact same PHP on both pages.

PS: their support is completely inept.

Maybe it’s best if we focus on the other thread? The image loads fine… but that was never the issue. The issue is that the site is not benefiting from lazy loading on those images.

Hah crazy timing! First time the plugin has been off for weeks! It’s back on now!

There are 3 sections that lazy load doesn’t work correctly with…

1 = must read new posts
2 = trending posts
3 = the menu

Hey there, figured this out. It was the ‘cache thumbnails locally’ button. Turned this off and they immediately came back up.

Would love to have that feature though. Especially because I can optimize those images through ShortPixel.

Any idea how to get it to work?

Hey there, I don’t have any security-related plugins. Just spoke to my host (WP Engine), and they tried a bunch of stuff (turning off CDN for example). Nothing worked there. Turned off any plugins that might affect it, nothing there either.

Any other ideas?

Hey Futta, nice. The shortcode seems to be working. Just FYI, when I added the “”, it wouldn’t load. I literally just copy/pasted this one: [lyte id=”_SQkWbRublY” /] from the FAQs page. It would output this: httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=”_SQkWbRublY”

once I delete the ” “, it worked great.
