By making the staging site it must have changed to default, because my public site uses postname permalinks.

I tested with twenty seventeen. The behavior is exactly the same. It seems like there’s a slight delay (maybe because the theme takes some time to load) but the popup appears almost instantly when I just start scrolling downwards. (The cursor is still on the top image.) No difference between browsers.

Yes I’m using the widget.

I’ve tested with 20seconds and that works. (in all 3 browsers)

I was clearing the wrong cookies. I was clearing cookies coming from the mailchimp domain but apparently the cookie ‘MCPopupClosed’ that needs to be removed in order for the popup to appear is stored under your own domain.

Once I removed this cookie the popup is shown.

I’ve configured the popup to be shown ‘On Exit’.
But on Firefox and Edge browsers the popup appears instantly.
It’s only Chrome that shows the popup on Exit.

Is there anything I can do about this?

The popup does not appear.
I’m not sure if this can be caused by the fact that I’m running Jetpack in Safe mode on this site. It’s a testsite I’ve set up to test new stuff before I implement it in production.

OK, I added media queries in the Custom CSS part of Hestia.
Works like a charm.

I added the nocache option in the visual editor instead of the text editor in wordpress.
As a result the code was invalid.

I added the cache_table_option=false to the tablepress tables but the result remains the same.

I cleared my browser cache and cleared the tablepress cache by deleting the transient records like mentioned here :https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/updates-to-tablespress-content-not-showing/

Thanks. This does exactly what I want.
I was looking at this property and was enabling/disabling it with the developer tools in Chrome but at that point, nothing changed. This led me to think that it was not what I needed.

Apparently, I shouldn’t always trust the developer tools.
