Ok, I played around with this a bit more and found, I think, a solution, I simply set a fixed height for the li item and that seems to do the trick. There are probably more elegant ways of doing this, so I am still open to suggestions!

keesiemeijer – thank you so much for pointing me to the functions info. I followed that and implemented your code and it works great! Your code also took care of the issue with the “show older posts” – it no longer does that.

Thank you, keesiemeijer! Your solution makes sense but I am using a child theme and for some reason the theme breaks when I upload the functions.php file into the child directory. And my technical knowledge is too limited to understand why and fix that. So I prefer to not change anything in the functions file.

Elio, if your suggestion hadn’t worked I would have contacted the duet team. There were no category.php etc files but an archive.php file and I put the code in there and now it works! Thank you!

The only niggle I still have is that it displays all the posts and then at the bottom it shows the “show older posts’ link even though there aren’t anymore posts with the category or tag. But I think I can live with that.

Ok, I found the problem!

I deactivated all my plug-ins one by one and the KA google font plugin was the culprit. I’ve deleted it and the icons have re-appeared.

Thanks, Robey, that did the trick! I had searched for previous threads on this but did not see this one. It’s now adding the contact form without the error.

I don’t have a plugin called Grunion Contact Form.

I used the “Add Contact Form” button on the page template.

Since this contact form is an integrated WP feature I am surprised that it would be out of date but you would know that better than me ?? I tested the form and it works fine, could I not just delete the warning message and leave it as it is? It’s the only place where it appears.

I am using a twenty eleven child theme which is linked to the twenty eleven theme v1.7 which I believe is the latest. I am also on WP 3.9 and all plug-ins are up-to-date. I only created this site about a week ago so everything is “new”.

I am not even sure I understand what this error means?

Yes, I changed the CSS and slightly modified some of the php files. I cannot figure out where I might have gone wrong but this project has just been put on the back burner anyway so I will try and figure it our when I get back to it later.
