In reply to: [BadgeOS] BadgeOS not generating BuddyPress activities after applying updatesYup, that was it.
Increasing the link moderation count limit fixed it.
Thanks, Michael!

In reply to: [BadgeOS] BadgeOS not generating BuddyPress activities after applying updatesThe users are earning the achievements. It appears on their profile, an entry in the badgeOS log is created, and they receive the modal pop up from the congratulations add-on.
It is just the BuddyPress activity that is missing from all the from-end activity feeds and from the activity tab on the WordPress back-end.
Again, is for regular users… for some reason, everything is fine when admins earn achievements.

In reply to: [BadgeOS] Random users shown under "People who have earned this"Thanks, Michael!
This worked like a charm on my site too. My apologies for not being able to test it out a few months back.

In reply to: [BadgeOS] Earned Badges Showing NonearnersI have a bit of time to test this before the next semester starts up…
Michael: Is that link still good? Or has this change been incorporated into the 1.4.4 release?
Tamritz: Have you had a chance to poke around with this new code? Any success?

In reply to: [BadgeOS] Earned Badges Showing NonearnersI have to 2nd the previous comment. This only started happening quite recently on my site, but is really is a problem for the grand achievements that many of my students are working towards.
Any updates about how a solution for this has progressed in the last 6 months?

In reply to: [Private groups] Issues with Forum-index short code and Forum CategoriesThanks, Robin!
I should have noted that my site is probably atypical since I use it to teach a college course. So as a new semester begins I try to hide the conversations from previous semesters.
I did find a workaround that I am happy with. I’ve created a new forum category that is always hidden to current students… the threads from prior semesters just get moved there at the start of a new one.
Thanks again for the plugin!
I sent the following to badges.org/contact, but they told me to post here so “Mike can offer his expertise.”:
In truth, knowing this feature was in the works was one of the main reasons that I finally jumped onboard with Badge OS. But I have a few pre-sales questions because, let’s face it, $65 is pretty steep given that fact that the other WordPress badging solutions (e.g. WP Achievements and Achievements for WordPress) offer this feature by default.
1. Is the notification mobile responsive?
2. Can the displayed pop up be custom styled easily?
3. Will ya’ll continue to develop this add on?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [BadgeOS] BadgeOS; Badges disappearing in back & front end.Yes both BuddyPress and the latest Community add on are running on my site.

In reply to: [BadgeOS] BadgeOS; Badges disappearing in back & front end.Yes, it still happens with 1.4.2.
We did our best to get things back to the way they were prior to creating the new achievement type, then updated the BadgeOS plugin, and tried to create a new achievement type again… the existing achievements again disappeared.

In reply to: [BadgeOS] BadgeOS; Badges disappearing in back & front end.Any movement on this issue?
I too experienced the same thing.
I was running v1.4.1 with the most up-to-date-version of the Community Add-on.
When I created a new achievement type (quests) all the existing achievements (badges) were moved. First they were moved into the newly created quests and the badges achievement type was missing. Using a plugin you recommended in another thread we could change the post type back to badges, but when we re-published them they moved again (to generic blog posts), and after some tinkering the disappeared from the WP dashboard altogether.
But yes, they were still in our database.

In reply to: [BadgeOS] Is it Possible to Change the Image Displayed for Unearned Badges? Thanks for the quick reply, Michael!
I don’t have the technical wherewithal to implement your solution fully, but I was able to find a quick fix using CSS.
We used the .user-has-not-earned and .user-has-earned classes to display our custom image.
Is this feature included in the new 1.4 release?
