In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] What tags are tracked on my site?Okay, and what about the marketing category? When will marketing tags be fired? Is that also when a user click Accept All or enable the marketing?
Isn’t there a way to remove the deny option? Or just make sure statistics tags are fired if you click “deny”.

In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] What tags are tracked on my site? Thanks for the answer, but will you please help me answer my question and help me diagnosting the tags fired based on what the user clicks on?
When i use the new Tag Assistant and click on accept (the blue button called “Godkend”), all tags are fired. But when I click on deny (the white button called “N?dvendige”), no tags are fired. How can that be when I have placed my GA4 and heylink tag inside the Trigger Statistics? If a user denies (meaning only load necessary tags), shouldn’t it fire the tags inside Trigger Statistics? (please look at all the info i provided in my initial question above).
Thank you so much. If the user changes his/her cookie preferences. What button should they then click on to save those preferences. Let’s say they change preferences and hit the “Allow” button instead of the “Save preferences” button.
Are you there? ??
Okay, I have removed the demo tags, and I will get back if it works.
Meanwhile, I have another question. Most websites do not offer the option to reject cookies. They instead only offer the buttons/options “Accept”, and “Accept necessary”. How can i force my visitors those two options? I have deactivated the reject button, but i want a button for “Only accept necessary” cookies.
Another question. How can i add overlay background to make sure the visitor decides on cookie? Like this: https://imgur.com/a/aFTyv4M
I have a problem after having imported your triggers. Look here…: https://imgur.com/a/7F8zKn9
I had 0 users yesterday. I also just tried to access the site, accept cookies, and still the “USERS IN LAST 30 MINUTES” inside GA4 did not show that i was visiting the site.. So something must be wrong?
Okay, so what is it that makes that special? And why buy the pro version if the free is sufficient for compliance?
Hi Jarno,
Thanks for the reply. Nice to hear it is compliant now then.
What is the purpose of those 3 tags (Demo and 7.0 Consent Mode)? Can I somehow use them? They seem more sophisticated than my current tags firing using the “Trigger Marketing”, “Trigger Statistics”?
I mean, what is the benefit of using the Consent Mode then? Please elaborate.
Hi Aert,
Thanks for the answer. However, I must make sure that consent is set up properly. In Denmark, we just had the first legal case where a company was charged by 30,000 euros because their marketing/statistics tags were fired before the user had accepted cookies.
So you say that the free version is able to set up consent properly and compliant with regulations? I will not need to enable “Google consent mode (beta)”?
I have tried to follow the guide you sent now, but I still don’t think it is working properly. I have put my 2 statistics tags within “Trigger Statistics” and Facebook Pixel within “Trigger Marketing”. I have then tried to Preview it, and all tags are fired right away, which is exactly what should not happen, right?..: https://imgur.com/a/UsJ5U8N
Also, when I imported the json file, my website now also fires 3 other tags – hereamong a 2 (Demo) tags and a so-called “Complianz 7.0 – Consent Mode” tag. That just seems weird. Why should i have another random Google tag firing? Please help me explain what these 3 tags do and if they are necessary?: https://imgur.com/a/O3KC7FJ
