Yep, it’s the Square for WooCommerce plugin. All of my themes and plugins are updated.

Here’s what I do: add an item to my Square account that has variations (in accordance with the Square For Woo rules), then do an import through the Square plugin. After the item is imported I check it in the products section and it’s listed, but it shows out of stock.

If I disable the Yoast plugin, then the above steps work like they should – the item is imported and all variations are shown.

In the Square logs, it shows all of the variations are imported with the correct quantities?and prices. It’s just that the item is loaded as a simple product instead of a variable product.

Square is the product system of record.

Square generated two logs, one 5mb in size and the other 208kb in size. I’ll upload them and send you the links. Would you let me know what email address to send the link?

If you deactivate the Square plugin does your website start responding like normal? What other plugins do you have on your site?

@mattdallan Thanks for reviewing the logs for me. I appreciate the quick updates to get this fixed.

@mattdallan I updated to 2.2.2 and, although it took longer than I expected, the import and update of existing products during import completed. It didn’t upload any existing images. I’ll email you my log so that you can look and make sure everything executed properly.

I’ve had issues with background processing in the past, but mine were always related to host issues and not anything in WordPress. Do you have two factor authentication enabled for your site? That was really messing things up for me, and I had to make some .htaccess and .htpasswd rules to get things working, and even then it still had problems from time to time. I ended up disabling two factor and haven’t had issues since.

@mattdallan It’s during the second import that it never progresses any further. If left alone long enough it will re-import existing items and existing images, like in a loop. My uploaded image directory is full of duplicates of images that show the same batch of items is repeated.

Once you have a fix for the import image problem I will do another test. Until then I will not select existing items during the import when I have new items in my inventory, and if I add a new variation to an existing product I will just delete the item, empty the trash, and do an import to get those new variations (like I have been doing since I started using square).

No errors in the PHP logs and the Square log just shows that the import is happening. I can enable debug logs for Square and see what they grab during the import.

@mattdallan If I do an import and don’t select all existing items, then the import runs correctly.

@mattdallan Nothing is fixed for me. I just did an import and selected update existing items, and it’s stuck and it’s still uploading all of the images again for all of the items.
