Thanks. Before uninstalling and reinstalling the app I had actually checked it on a phone and it wasn’t working. After I uninstalled and reinstalled, I only checked it using the screen size emulator on my computer. There is some kind of problem with this method and it’s not hiding the excerpt on small screen sizes in the emulator, but when I checked it again in my phone, it did hide it.

I may also hide the excerpt at different sizes though, so thank you for that suggestion.

I’ve put three screen shots (sorry, that’s what I needed to get all the settings). Here are the links to them:

I also tried uninstalling the plugin and reinstalling it. That didn’t help. One thing that did change though is that now, on mobile screens, the transparent white background of the excerpt box is only half as wide as the actual box with the text. But it’s still visible and the text definitely isn’t hidden.

I’ll try deleting the plugin and reinstalling it. I’ll let you know if that works.

Yes, I’ve tried it with two slides, and it is still showing the excerpt on the mobile screens. I’ve put two slides up for you to see.

OK, thank you for letting me know. I may have to find someone else using a newer API that lets you change the source then as it’s quite important for me. But thanks for the quick reply!

Yes, those shortcodes worked perfectly. Although, I ultimately decided to go with a descending by date order.

I’m not sure how to make the documentation more explicit other than coming right out and saying that if you use the [random_testimonial] shortcode it will come with a Read More link everywhere, not just in the sidebar widget.

I have been, but the problem isn’t how to see it, it’s that I don’t know what to do. Everything I’ve tried hasn’t changed how it looks.
