I installed yesterday’s update this morning and the free version does seem smoother now and I did create additional directories and that helped a lot. I mistyped when I talked about no bulk uploading. Because there was/is. What I was referring to is mass selection to move, delete, copy, ect… in the photo gallery area itself (when creating galleries). You have to hold the ctrl key down and click each photo (one at a time). That isn’t that big of an issue with additional directories now and I can just “select all” and then “un” delete what I need omitted. So, I stand corrected and apologize. Still, there was a couple of times that when posting the gallery on the page and after I clicked create and then saved the page… no gallery was visible. Usually, after the 2nd or 3rd time it will post. I will be happy to rate your plug in up… now to figure out how…
I’m only thinking out loud and what iffing this thing.
I suppose I can allow the expiration of the member’s account to revert to “free subscriber” (level 0) at their EOT like it does. I am pretty sure the customer info stays in tact. But… lets say the individual waits 3 additional Months to become a member again? If I am understanding the S2M documentation correctly… When they re-open a paid account… they are redirected to the MOP and see content meant for day 120???
What we are attempting to achieve via content dripping in relation to membership accounts is when someone allows an account to expire, if they decide to sign up again… 3 days, 3 Weeks, or 3 Months… they are automatically re started at the last drip point, that being 1 Month or heck… 31 days. Just thinking out loud, I wonder if there is a way to do that?

In reply to: [s2member Secure File Browser] download counts for each file too highI just realized this was the reviews area! Please delete my support question because I located the support area, I don’t want my little issues to be seen as a review! The plug in is great and just because I haven’t clicked something or un selected another item and have these small issues… it shouldn’t be reflected in a review!
Have you checked to ensure in s2m dashboard/general options/member profile modifications that the 1st option (top) selection is checked “yes” (redirect away after logging in) ???
Well, it was set for members to be redirected all this time as I said earlier in this post! But what was also set up was the widget for members to log on as well. That had stayed the same since the first day and throughout the move to https. However, when setting s2member up the first day, s2member recommends we all click “yes” (Always Redirect non-Administrative Users (after login) using HTTP). Everything worked until that update and poof.
So yesterday, I left that at Yes and when I was toying with a special url for redirection and installed the url for my members page I noticed that when I logged on, I received a 404 error but then I could click back out of that and there I was, on my members page where I was supposed to be! So I changed the MOP Vars to NO and well, it works great now!
The really strange part for me is why would that (selecting yes) have worked all this time and then stop. And clicking NO solved everything??? Makes no sense to me but I could really care less.
I went to dashboard/s2member/general options/login welcome page and selected “No” (Always Redirect non-Administrative Users (after login) using HTTP)
The website works fine now
No need to be all amazed! LOL
Just covering all bases as you didn’t seem to be able to help with your suggestions. I was out of options as well. FYI, S2member wasn’t able to fix it either and gave up.
I read somewhere that another person fixed a particular problem with their website after a plug in update (not s2member) by un-installing the most recent update. I wouldn’t know how to delete just the most recent update but when it comes to s2member, I don’t think I would want to do that anyways.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] WordPress SEO by Yoast window is emptyThanks so much JC! I guess I didn’t realize you could deactivate just the newest version of a plugin! All I see is the entire plugin to deactivate. I will check in to it.
What started happening as soon as I updated with the new version is under SEO TITLE (with two words installed) I get this message under it:
“Warning: Title display in Google is limited to a fixed width, yours is too long.”
The posts already published are in the green but now this new post that was made after the plugin is yellow??? Anyways, thanks again and I will see what I can do!

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] WordPress SEO by Yoast window is empty@jcastillo How do I go back to earlier version of plugin? I updated to 1.7.3 yesterday and it doesn’t work very well at all.
Well, obviously we did test it, the best we could anyways. I mean it is after all wordpress! Hunt and peck, google this and google that. Read someone’s rendition of what works and attempt it on your site. Sometimes that works, most of the time it doesn’t apply to you. Try to ask on the forums and well… LOL
I mentioned at the beginning of all of this that everything worked fine until that latest update of the plugin. However, as nobody seems to know… I start digging in the “wordpress dig” thinking and what ifing everything. So therefore… It would be nice to see someone else’s checklist for a move such as that IE; http: to https though. But… well… obviously… it freaked you out to no end so you know what???
I’ll figure it out myself! Thanks for your suggestions! Have a great day!
I had a thought that perhaps my pay pal settings on the actual pay pal website might have been messed up and confirmed that the redirect page was still selected as the correct page, it was.
Then I started thinking about the s2m log on wigit and checked that. I am given 3 choices on that wigit, 1) original page 2) home page 3) login-welcome page. I selected all three at different times and tested. All three attempts I was sent to “join”
Hmmmmmmm IDK
What are the issues moving website from https:// to https:// ??? Its possible I missed something there. The reason I mention this is I attempted to run a s2memberserverscan.php and it wouldn’t run. I attempted to enable logging and then view logs and none were available.
Yes, MOP Vars has been and still is enabled
??? well, in the s2M login-welcome page field, the members-area page (where I want members to be directed to after successful login) is selected and has been saved. It has been this way every since I have had S2M.
If you are referring to the actual login-welcome page (members area) itself, yes it is:
s2Member?
This Page is your:
Login Welcome Page
(automatically guarded by s2Member)and yes my login/welcome page is in my own words “members area”
another words, they log in at a s2M login wigit located in a side bar on the home page and once logged in… they used to be directed to https://………………/members-area/ but now…. members end up at a join page. Like when a non member clicks a link or page or whatever and s2member sees that they aren’t a member… so they are redirected to the join page.
that is what happens to my members since the update. BUT the members still have access to the content!
