Thanks for the reply and it definitely helps my understanding – I tried both ideas (here’s the code that calls the content for the single page)

css – is .single_page ul li { display: block !important; } like you said

since jetpack is in “the content” call, even when I change(to make more specific) ul li to .single_page_post in the css file and change “single_page” to “single_page_post” in the .php file, it still surrounds “the content” — all blog posts use the same single.php file format

So is there not a way to disable the slider? Is the fix just to make it faster?

odd – I just reactivated JetPack and the site works

I deactivate JetPack and now my site works with WP – I like JetPack though…

I’ll have to work around it I guess
