Hi,
Just to add also to my previous reply. When I click “duplicate” within the wordpress back end and change the image the image does not disappear in the original event. It’s only when I use the “submit event” form (clicking on the ‘+’ to duplicate that I have this problem).
Thanks for any help
Chris.
Hi there,
I’m not running anything custom/templates that I know of…where would they be if I was?
I just downloaded the latest version of events manager and replaced the existing events manager plugin file structure with the most recent downloaded one so that it is completely fresh. However, even with this fresh upload it still has the same problem. Duplicated events that have their image changed causes the original event image to disappear.
Any other ideas kind sir?
Best Wishes,
Chris.
Also, to add to my previous reply – I changed to the default theme and also still had the same problem.
Hi there,
I’m using Events Manager Version 5.6.1
I’ve tried deactivated all plugins – it still has the same problem.
When I duplicate any event and then just ‘update event’ (without changing the image in the newly duplicated event) the image in the original event DOES NOT DISAPPEAR. However, when I duplicate any event and then change the image in the newly duplicated event the image in the original event DOES DISAPPEAR.
Any ideas what this might be? Pretty weird!
Best Wishes,
Chris.
Ok, thanks for your help. Appreciate it.
Hi,
I’m using version 5.5.5
If you recommend that I upgrade would this overwrite my current installation and settings? I also edited the event submissions. Form template so I would be afraid is losing those customizations ??
Thank you for any help I really appreciate it,
Best wishes,
Chris.
I found the solution
It was because I had still made references to these attributes in the
Settings -> Events -> Formatting -> Single event page format
I removed these and problem solved.
Thank you!
Dear Angelo,
Thanks for your reply.
No, I have no events at all that use this custom attribute either past, present or future. Actually, I’ve deleted all the events to see if it makes a difference. But still, when I “add event” these custom attributes still appear underneath and in my event submission form.
Please help – is this information stored in the database somewhere do you think? Where is it getting it from? I’m fairly word-press savvy and you might be thinking I haven’t deleted them properly from Event Attributes under “General Options – Events” but I’ve checked many times and there’s nothing there,
Any other suggestions?
Best Wishes,
Chris.
Hi there,
Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. Much appreciated.
Yes, I’ve deleted them completely. And checked and checked again! There isn’t anything at all in the section (general options – event settings – event attributes) where it says:
“You can also add event attributes here, one per line in this format #_ATT{key}. They will not appear on event pages unless you insert them into another template below, but you may want to store extra information about an event for other uses.”
But they are still appearing whenever I try to “add event” under the section “attributes” or when I use the event submission form they still appear. It is almost as if a cache has not been cleared or something and the values are still stored in the system somewhere even though they are not listed anymore in the general options – event settings – event attributes
Any advice would be really appreciated,
Best Wishes & once again, thank you for your time,
Chris.
