Is there an error in the code you mean? That looks like the variable I have typed in:

{signup_firstname}

I am not seeing a difference.

Just plugged in the merge tag and it is having the same issue. This is the text of the email one receives:

Dear {signup_firstname):

This message was sent to confirm that you signed up for…

Date: Fri, Mar 11
Event: Facebook and Personal Preferences
Time: 2PM…

The second variable {signup_details} is functioning properly, but not the first name.

Geez, sorry about that. Had trouble locating variables. Such an easy fix! Appreciate the reply!
