In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] Size of tableYes, I forgot about times for the edit.
The table with over 7,700 rows takes about a minute to load and, in Chrome, when trying to edit the rows Chrome becomes unusable whereas Firefox does a better job but it still does take time. As I’m only editing a few rows at a time – adding hyperlinks in one column – it’s something I can work with, but, when adding rows to the table I prepare the extra rows in Excel and import the data, appending to the table.
Kind regards,
Ken

In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] Size of tableHi Alex – I’m not Tobias so he may have more accurate information.
I run the Hymn Society of Great Britain and Ireland website. We use TablePress for a number of tables, the biggest page is our interactive index of Bulletins which has over 16,000 rows split into 7 tables, currently the largest single table is just over 7,700 rows. The page: https://hymnsocietygbi.org.uk/resources/interactive-bulletin-indexes/
takes a few seconds to load, but this is just the browser getting the data. Once the data is there the tables work really fast.Kind regards,
Ken
Thank, Tobias, I just had to add
div.dt-button-background { display: none !important; }
to get it to work, but it’s all good now ??

Thanks Tobias, that works ??
The only thing that’s not working though is the individual drop down Column Visibility buttons – they don’t hide the selected column(s).
Kind regards,
Ken
Brilliant! Thank you so much.
Thanks very much, Tobias, great support!

In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] Fixed Header columns shiftingHi Tobias,
Thank you very much. The first suggestion works great regarding font size. The !important flag also works to some extent – it doesn’t seem to take into account the sorting button to the right of the column title, which I’ve not been able to nail down. I can live with this if it is not easy to fix.
However, the other thing is that the Fixed Header is only responsive to a certain extent, once it goes below 768px for this table it remains fixed, unlike the table which has a responsive command throughout the responsive addon. Is there a way to make this fixed header responsive too? If not is there a way to hide it below 768px?
Thanks in advance,
Kind regards,
Ken

Thanks very much Tobias, that’s perfect!
I have another question but will open a separate thread as it’s not connected to this.
Best wishes,
Ken
Thanks for getting back, Tobias, much appreciated and it’s no trouble, I’m sure it’s just a bit of css.
I’ve set up a temporary page with one table to show an example – the normal pages these tables are on are currently for members only.
