In reply to: [User Role Editor] IT GETS YOUR SITE HACKED!!!!!!!! DON’T INSTALL@afrooz this is a serious claim and if you have been hacked in such a way you owe it to the community to do a proper investigation and supply evidence so we can all avoid such misery.
I came across your post because I found a suspicious super admin on a site recently BUT that site has never had User Profile Editor Installed.
So I just wasted more of my life reading this thread only to find you have no evidence.
Please don’t do that, it wastes everyone’s time.
In 2 or 3 years of using User Profile Editor I have had ZERO problems, and only see excellent support from a fabulous free plugin.
Thanks @shinephp

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Jetpack makes services slowJeremy
I am having the same problem so I just ran some tests; the biggest slowdown is connecting to wordpress.com;
Looking at the top bar of vivaldi – the data loaded goes from 2.5mb to 3.8mb as soon as I connect to wordpress.com – and I would say the page takes 4-5 times longer to load…
so from 1 second to 4 seconds
what is most bizarre about this is that the main delay after connecting to wordpress.com comes from the main image on the top of the page – it stops loading while jetpack is doing whatever it is doing.
very distracting I had to turn off the wordpress.com connection, I am using avada them for the site in question.
cheers

thanks for your quick reply, and sorry to bother you with a follow up question…
I am rebuilding some sites on a new platform (moving from pagelines to beaver builder)- and I want the installs as clean as possible so I am merely exporting pages/posts/forms/etc
I realise now I have made some SEO changes supplied with The SEO framework and so I need these but the problem is knowing if and where I made any !
Would it be accurate to assume changes to Custom Page Title and Custom Page descriptions are kept in the database here ?
…_options
autodescription-site-settingsand only there ?
thanks…any update on the export ?

In reply to: [WPIT GANTT] Simple but looks OKHi Wolly
thanks for replying so quickly…
a few comments.
The link from the plugin doesn’t work
https://paolovalenti.info/ganttFor an import I was thinking about a simple CSV file, which might be generated from MS Excel or another spreadsheet program. I am thinking people using MS Project etc would have too many fields to handle.
I was looking for a simple way to display a simple project, but found it a but tedious to type it all on one hand and no way to manage from the plugin.
…another option would be to use custom post types and look at the custom fields, but I don’t know how complicated that would be.
cheers

In reply to: [CWX Project] FrontendI would like to see this on the front end as well, in fact I was trying many front end based alternatives when I installed CWX project, so at first completely missed the fact that it was a dashboard widget and raised the eroneous support ticket.
…being simply able to display a gantt like chart in a post or page to users not logged in makes the difference between being able to use the tool or not, for me anyway.
cheers

In reply to: Password complexity verification flawed in WordPress 3.7The password strength indicator would be better to say ‘this is how safe the writer of this algorithm thinks your password is…’
A feedback button/comments to the writer of the algorithm might allow users to express their frustration with this opinionated algorithm, which has alas been enforced by wpengine.

In reply to: [Toolset Types - Custom Post Types, Custom Fields and Taxonomies] dashiconsOh, it was too simple, just use the standard dashicon name from
https://melchoyce.github.io/dashicons/
instead of the old 16×16 image URL
e.g.
a home icon for a post would be
dashicons-admin-home
