In reply to: adding links to other websites and directoriesHmm… That’s weird.
Please check few links and see to which page they’re linking to. If they are linked correctly, it’s problem with your blog. Otherwise, it’s the links which you’d have to edit manually.

In reply to: I can’t remove 2nd sidebarHiya,
You can manually remove all the codes in the .php file of the sidebar which you wish to remove and then edit the codes to increase the body width.
However, it’s mush easier to just look for another theme if you aren’t advanced with codes.
Hope this helped ??

In reply to: Profile Email FormHmm… That’s exactly what I said.
BuddyPress doesn’t work with standard WordPress installation. It only works with WPMU.
You need to have WordPress MultiUser Installation for BuddyPress to work.
If you have no plan of switching your site from WordPress to WordPress MU, then it’s simpler and easier to search for WordPress plugins which would suit your needs.
Hope this helped. ??

In reply to: adding links to other websites and directoriesHiya,
1) You can create another static page and title it as ‘Links’ and place all the links there.
2) You can go to Admin > Links > Categories, create link categories and then go to Admin > Links > Add New to add new links to specific categories. Then you can place the Link Category as a widget to sidebar.

In reply to: Profile Email FormHiya,
With standard WordPress installation, you can manage a single blog with multiple users.
However, with WordPress MultiUser installation, you can create or let others create blogs.
For instance, WordPress.com is a very good example of site run on WordPress MultiUser Installation, so that people can sign up for a free blog and Administrator can edit them all.
For what you’ve asked, you simply need a social networking platform. So you can install WordPress MultiUser with BuddyPress and disable new blog registrations and allow only user registrations. That way, you’ll have a robust social network on your site.
However, WPMU is not recommended for beginners and you’ll need to work on some codes while installing and editing.
I’ve installed the plugin, with varied success.
Which plugin have you installed? Do you mean BuddyPress Plugin? Well, BuddyPress doesn’t work with standard WordPress installation. It only works with WPMU.

In reply to: coupon / offer / voucherHiya,
One note, everything is possible on WordPress if you know the right codes.
For what you’ve said, it’s not an easy task to do and unless you’re an advanced WordPress user, you’ll have to spend hundreds of dollars on hiring a coder to do that.
However, you can also try searching for a premium theme that mostly matches your requirements. You spend less than a hundred bucks and with that theme and you can edit a bit of codes yourself afterwards.

In reply to: How to insert a bannerHiya,
Unless you are running your blog on a free WordPress theme, most of the themes nowadays comes with built-in Ad banner that you can configure it in the Options.
Which banner are you talking about? Are you trying to insert an image banner or an Ad banner? It also depends on which place you wish to place it.
You can either edit the .php file yourself or simply add the code in the ‘Text’ widget and drop it in the sidebar.

In reply to: custom 404 – too much?Hiya,
The page is creative. I like the idea of the Search and Tags.
However, it won’t hurt to reduce the number of tags. Since there are so many tags, it not only looks ugly, but no visitor will go through all the tags and it makes the footer invisible since no one will scroll all the way down.
You can find an useful article on creating creative 404 page here.

If you are using it for personal purposes, it would be fine. But for commercial purposes, you’ll need a license to do that.

In reply to: Profile Email FormIf you are looking for more interactive platform somewhat like Facebook, then I suggest you to check out BuddyPress which allows users to view others profiles, send messages, etc.
However, BuddyPress will only work on WordPress MultiUser Installation.

In reply to: WordPress YoutubeYou can simply search for tons of free WordPress plugins by visiting here or also by going to your Admin Panel >> Plugins >> Add New >> Search.
Also, it doesn’t matter which theme you are using on your blog. Whatever your theme might be, any WordPress plug-in will work fine for you.
