  • I’ve had to have this plugin deactivated as the last update locked me out of all my websites where I had it on the login page. I have no idea where to put this code (as above). Why doesn’t the plugin work anymore? Can you fix it? It has been a great plugin.

Sorry, Rocco, the css turned up! Maybe I hadn’t re-activated the child theme after I was trying to fix the header menu problem. Hopefully, I won’t have to bother you again!
    Apologies!

    Hello, Rocco,

I can’t find a child-theme.css file anywhere to add my original custom.css to.
In the Editor there is only a .php file.
How do I do this please? Yikes! All my customisations are GONE!!

    Thank you!

    It’s OK. I found it!

In Customiser under “Header” (not “Menus”): An option “Use a default page menu …” was auto ticked!

    Gosh, I nearly had a heart-attack!

Sorry to bother you, but these auto changes can be very scary!

    Thanks so much, Rocco!

Yes, that’s great. I just didn’t want to have to do all that styling all over again. So if I can paste my custom.css from Hueman into the child-theme style.css created via the Childify Me plugin, that sounds like it will do the trick!

I was worried about activating the Childify Me plugin in case I lost all my styling.
I’ve been unsure about the implications of the new Customiser change in Hueman, and figured I need Childify Me to keep my styling, but wasn’t sure how it all worked.

Many thanks for your swift response!
    Cheers from Australia,
    Kerrie

Why do my questions appear in reverse order to the sequence I wrote them in? The groups headings are not showing anywhere. I found all the short codes once, but now they are hard to find.

Hello again, David. I have been working in this for most of the day. I think I have found the issue, but this pertains to your Adder version I’ve worked with today, so I presume same for Light as well.

Found it was working OK on my old blog, checked plugins, etc, etc, across both blog sites, and I think it is in the Video and Quote format posts where the problem is arising.

In Standard format the buttons work well and the thumbnail images are fine (no extra code needed). I don’t know if anything can help with those other formats.

I have edited my review of the Adder version and changed it to 5 stars. As I said, I do like your plugin. But it has been frustrating with random imagery appearing. Though, I do think a plugin should work out of the box, or at least a suggested accompanying plugin for certain issues would be great rather than telling someone it is their responsibility to make it work. That’s like selling a car without tyres and telling the customer it is her responsibility to go get the tyres somewhere: she will just go buy another car that already has tyres.

Hi, David. I have really tried with this plugin as I really love it. It’s a great design and great setup. And I do appreciate the hours of work involved in these things. (I know: I coded my first site from scratch, which was enough for me!)

But I have not had this problem before with other sharing plugins, and
I have often shared my own posts, especially on between G+. Last night I downloaded a different plugin which is not to my liking and I didn’t have this problem, but I like yours so much better.

I’m not the only person who has commented on this with your Adder plugin.

I downloaded it again last night in case there was something in the download that went amiss. I checked for conflicts with plugins.
The weird things is, it was working in Safari on iOS OK, but not OSX 10.10.5 in either Firefox or Safari. I tested it on all my devices. I haven’t written to you about this on a whim.

And I only mentioned it on Disqus because I hadn’t had any response on the forums and was frustrated.

I will check out these links – thank you, but I don’t have a Facebook account. I need it mainly for G+, LinkedIn, and Twitter. But if I can get it to work, I will give it 5 stars.

Thank you for your time here.

I find it is working on one of my WP blogs on iOS 8 iPad Air on Safari.
On Yosemite OSX Macbook in Safari, it works on one blog and not the other (same Hueman theme) but is completely unresponsive (after only twice working) in Firefox on the Macbook (mostly correct featured image now, but not always) in both blogs!
On one blog on OSX, both browsers, it consistently gets the featured images mixed up!
The featured images are also mixed up on Safari on iPhone iOS7. This is a nuisance.

Anything we can do to prevent this problem? Any known incompatibilities with other pluguns?

(Such a neat looking plugin, and great to set up, otherwise.)

PS: Everything works now after I moved the codes you’ve given me to the top of the custom style sheet rather than the bottom, so I must have a semi-colon or something missing somewhere down below! Some little gremlin! Thanks again!

Many thanks for that code!! Maybe there’s a plugin in the way on the new blog site … I’ll close off here – you’ve done enough, MANY THANKS, bdbrown!!!

I don’t believe this: I’ve deleted the new plugins, put the iframe TED code back ion the post, put Alex’s code in the Custom CSS but the buttons are still at the top and overlaying the video. It works fine on my older blog (also Hueman same version and same WP 4.3.1) What can I be doing wrong? … It doesn’t pay to sleep at night …

Could I ask one more thing about the share buttons before closing (or I can start a new thread). Do you know the code for deleting the counters on the buttons? Is that possible?
    Many thanks!

I might give that a go. I like the look of the plug-in icons but the featured images are getting mixed up when sharing ??
Putting the icons at the bottom of the post works well for TED videos.
Really appreciate your work here on this forum – many thanks!

Had to solve it with another plug-in: “Simple Share Buttons Adder”.
Had to disable the Hueman theme’s Share buttons. I now have the choice to put the buttons at the bottom of the posts. All is good now!
Not strictly solved (as per the theme), but I’m happy!
