It’s OK, Onelfi, the snippet editor is unintuitive and a step backwards from the meta box, in my opinion (part of why I’m going to stick with 2.3.5 for now).

I don’t understand what the Yoast team felt was wrong with 2.3.5…it worked, it was easy to use, everyone liked it. 3.x doesn’t add a single good thing! It only takes away or degrades.

You now edit the ‘snippet’ directly. What was wrong with the meta description box team Yoast only know…

Same problem here. Has seriously slowed down my site. Have disabled the plugin for now. Will wait to hear about a fix.

This is annoying! The update stripped out the ad id I was using and has been displaying an error since I upgraded until I noticed just now. There should have been a warning included with the update.

What do you think about changing the file’s permissions and making it unwritable, so no other plugin or file can modify it?

So I deactivated all the plugins and the page started working, so I then start re-enabling theme one by one, but after re-enabling them all the page was still working. The only problem now is that Jetpact won’t connect.

It says ‘Your website needs to be publicly accessible to use Jetpack: site_inaccessible
Error Details: The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site [HTTP 404]. Ask your web host if they allow connections from WordPress.com. If you need further assistance, contact Jetpack Support: https://jetpack.me/support/’

But the media page is working.

You’re probably best off contacting the plugin developer.

Are you uploading directly to WordPress via the media library? Because you could always try using a file manager plugin.
