Ok Steve thanks, htaccess nightmare, was actually htaccess for my html files whew, nasty, yeah, it was never a problem, till it was, so I’ve deleted it. very dangerous file. ( I have a hybrid site both wordpress and normal html files.

Plug in you are right I guess usually ok, but I was advised to trim those, down.

Ok so this Godaddy level 2 tech said in dashboard of wordpress — so you’d say he is incorrect? Fine, you are probably more expert on wordpress — you in fact, do not see in the dashboard a place to insert a bad link and have that forward to a good link? You 100% need a plug in for that? Or maybe fixing “permalinks” was how he was describing it….

Almost comedic, the entire point is to stay away from ht access, which just recently brought down the whole site.

But STeve, I see you are a moderator. If you can just please, say this is not achievable or this does not exist that would be great. GEtting way over complicated here, thanks.

thanks STeve, not looking for another plug ins. Plug in cause a lot of grief and instability.. But I hear this is right in the dashboard… permalink, put in the bad/ put in good and forwards without plug in.

Thanks B, I want at least the title to show when someone clicks on the images.. I put that in still no show… I think it used to show,. Could some recent version of WordPress broken it..? (it in a photographer gallery/ portfolio)

Ok turned out it was just one simple click “screen options” in upper right

Thanks Jan, why is no attachment ability good? Many forums have icon, click then upload the attachment. If not, I have to go another website, and the come back to this website

George, YEs, each has only 1 plug in– WP super cache, which I don’t think has anything to do with the issue. question.

So see, ok links good now. ONe had galleries just fine in there; other does not.

thanks BC, I had case where Jetpack, with is million things don’t use, crashed a site, to got rid of it and 80% of all my plug ins.

I only update anything every 4 months as so stressful.

For first time starting few days ago find new post coming up in blocks.

Do you use the classic plug in? I downloadeded that works great. I want few few plug ins as possible; do you find this one is safe and stable? I found when updating, any plug in can cause a site to crash and burn.

Also, yeah, no real switch now back and forth visual/ text. Rare I use the text but when I do, real important thats it’s there and easy! With blocks not even there, hence, I guess I may keep this plug in forever.
