I think this is a cache error, has no one seen this? or is everyone ignoring it? On clearing my cookies, I realise that sometimes it auto logins.

It’s an annoying error don’t know if the theme or wordpress installation (which of the 2) has something to do with it.

beerobber you moved your plugins (of wordpress?) and then moved them to the root of your directory?

I have both public_html and www directories, could that be a problem?

I reinstalled WP and then put the database back, it worked for 2 logins, and now i’m back to the same problem :/. I used the install through Fantastico De Lux as well. Let me check it.

MichealH, same problem on all computers.

None of these seemed to work :/. I have been trying for quite sometime now and it’s always messing up, I’m wondering how to go around this.

Solution 6 from this list worked, but I am worried that anyone knowing the login might be able to work around the site?

The thing is it works everytime I use the request password option and get back, but that’s a shitty way of working it for me. Can someone please tell me how to fix this, I have been trying this for 2 days and today I spent 3 hours non stop trying to locate. None of the solutions seemed to work.

I have this problem as well, and there are so many threads on this.

I have tried all of the following to no avail.

— go to php my admin and rework the active_plugins value
— backup database and re install it
— clear cookies/cache
— reupload the wp-login.php file to show up exactly as mentioned
($user_login = $user_data->user_login;)
— delete plugins directory.

I have spent a good 3 hours trying to work around this and haven’t come up with anything that works. I have to keep requesting lost password and re login to put up any post. Please help and consider me giving you a great big thank you on my blog if you can help me!!
