Hello.
I am sorry that you have had this experience with us and I hope you could provide me with additional feedback to what happened.
I would very much like to take the time and explain what has happened and perhabs we could look into resolving the situation.
Hello James.
You are using Google Tag Manager and you will need to set up that platform to block cookies as well.
Looking at your website, the script is optimally placed, so making sure GTM is also set up to block cookies is essential.
If you need additional help, You can submit a ticket through our helpcenter.
Hello.
The data is blocked by the banner, as the data is tracking personal data from the visitors. If the visitor enables allow all cookies, you should recieve the data from the mobile entries.
Can you find more detail on the data you collect and do you have the same issue with your desktop data?
Hello Studimag.
This isn’t an error, but expected to happen when you use a CMP solution.
Since all cookies are blocked before consent is given, GA, ads and other elements in terms of online marketing will be blocked as well before the visitor has provided their consent to see these and allow this specific tracking of personal data.
We have experienced this ourselves on our own website:
I do not have any specific number, but I have some cases from our own company.
At one point it was made clear that having pre ticked checkboxes for the cookie categories was not compliant, we changed it on our own website.
Due to the high publicity in regards to the Planet49 case at the time, we had 200% more views on our own website.?
However, even with 200% more visitors to our own website, only around 15% of the visitors actually opted in for all cookies, effectively reducing our analytics number by more than 80%.?
This is expected and we also had our own communications team be very crazy about this, but they had to understand it was for the greater good! ???
Hello @abogomolov
There is a function to change your consent inside the Cookie declaration.
It provides the ability for the user to change/withdraw their consent.
Thanks for the work though. I am sure it can help others as well.
Hello Nick.
It is not possible to remove Cookiebot from a single page, when it is scanning the entire domain.
Hello Carsten.
Can you give me the name of the domain the issue is appearent on?
Hello.
Your website is currently using “automatic mode”, so I assume you got it to work.
Could you confirm?
Hello Andy.
The best thing you can do is add a placeholder that explains to the user that Statistics cookies are needed for that content.
We have this section in our helpcenter: https://support.cookiebot.com/hc/en-us/articles/360003812053-Hide-and-show-content-based-on-the-visitor-s-consent
Hello Xenusm.
That seems like a strange behaviour.
I checked your website and currently you have several instances of Cookiebot active.
In your source code, line 100, please delete the Cookiebot script. The two might interfere with each other, causing issues with your banner.
We have just released a new version of the plugin that specifically has tweaks to elementor compatability.
I would also like to update you that we have released a new version of the plugin.
There’s been some tweaks that should help DIVI and ELEMENTOR users with their issues.
This is due to lack of https certificate on the domain.
It is currently a http site and our scanner cannot access a http site since it is not secure.
You will need to have a https certificate for your domain for it to be scanned.
What is the name of your domain?
