Hi, yes, I agree that those limitations have sense, I just need to remove them for the time being.
I was able to relax the constraints by applying the change you mentioned, however the numbers are different than expected. I think the api are filtering out the “attachment” or “media” results. (see here: 49 results for generic relevanssi-based search on the website: https://dev.syrian-heritage.org/?s=Mosaic but only 8 results, apparently, for the api https://dev.syrian-heritage.org/wp-json/relevanssi/v1/search?lang=en&per_page=999999&keyword=Mosaic )

Thanks for the clarification. They are hires images, amounting to 130 GBs total and averaging 5-8 MBs each. The originals are periodically imported from an external service and it was a poor previous design choice to keep them like that given that the main audience uses cellular data, i.e. they should have been converted upon import or on the providing endpoint on the first place to not drain the mobile plans of users. Any future use will not see the originals being used anyway and they just take up a lot of space on the server.

yes they were. temporarily switched to a different plugin, will start from scratch in the weekend and see how it goes..
