This is a regression, BTW. It worked correctly in a previous version. Though, I’m unsure if the previous version is that of the plugin or WordPress.

Not that I know of. I checked the library configuration, and all of RSS check boxes are blank. I also looked at a few links and no RSS information is present.

The problem may have to do with splitting the libraries up (I now have two link libraries, settings=”1″ and settings=”2″).

I store large paragraphs, yes, but I am not rendering the content on the page. I am using JetPack for image caching, but that’s all.

No other plug-ins recently. That could be w.r.t. the shared server, but I notice it more on pages that have links in comparison with those that do not. I have, however, started copying entire link contents into the link forms. Is it possible that could slow things down?

On the contrary, under https://khatchad.commons.gc.cuny.edu/teaching/csci-40500-77100-software-engineering-sp-21/#linktable, I would expect “Tutorials” to be *present* since it has a non-empty subcategory (currently, it’s grayed out).

The other “library” ([link-library-cats settings=”2″] at https://khatchad.commons.gc.cuny.edu/teaching/csci-40500-77100-software-engineering-sp-21/#Resources-2) now looks different. There, empty categories are grayed out. I would expect them to be absent instead.

I’ve upgraded to version 7.1.9, but I still see the empty category link with [link-library-cats settings="1"]. For example, on https://khatchad.commons.gc.cuny.edu/research/background, there are no textbook links, but there is an “empty” category https://khatchad.commons.gc.cuny.edu/research/background/#textbooks that goes nowhere. Since this category has no links under setting 1 in my case, it should not appear in the category list.

OK, I’ve deleted the duplicates manually but I fear that they may come back. Please let me know if there is any information I may provide to further diagnose this issue.

I see that there’s a link checker that detects duplicates. Is there a way to remove those as well? I have 219 links currently, so doing this manually can be difficult as well as error-prone.

Yannick. I tried deleting the links permanently and then importing but I am still having the same problem more or less. This time, the categories are there but I am receiving duplicates.

There are indeed no link categories in the link library. There are however categories under the “links” menu.

I was able to delete all the links easily in the link library by adjusting the display size to 500 maximum items. Thus, I don’t think I would need a mass delete plug-in unless I’m missing something.
