In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Hide time on past eventsHi Jamie,
Thank you for this.
I added the CSS but it doesn’t quite work. If you go to the homepage and press ‘Now onwards’ to set a custom date range, the time is still displayed. Strangely, if you then refresh that page, the time disappears.
Presumably, the calendar is surfacing the older books without refreshing the page (via JQuery or something similar? I’m not an expert), so I’m wondering if there’s anything we can do to stop that.
Thank you!

Thank you. The issue seemed to have fixed itself actually, so I’ll close this ticket.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Events have suddenly become full widthHi Tapan,
Thanks for looking at this.
It certainly looks better on your screen but I think it’s still wider than it should be. If you click the other pages on the site (Bestsellers, FAQ, About), I think you’ll see that the text on those pages is restricted to a far narrower container. That should be the case with individual events too.
Any ideas?
Thank you,
Kia

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Surface featured image within contentHi Jaime,
Thanks for the response. I’ve just been manually adding it into the listing itself using ‘Add Media’. It’s not ideal but it will do for now.
Thanks,
Kia

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Surface featured image within contentHi Deblyn,
Thank you for your help.
By default you don’t need to use <?php echo get_the_post_thumbnail(); ?> to show your featured image in the beginning of your single event page.
The featured image isn’t showing up in the single event page. You can click through to any book from https://asianbooklist.com to check. Do you have any ideas why this is?
If you want to insert an image in the same scope as your event description you can just use media editor in event edit page
Is this the only way to include it as part of the event description? Ideally, I wanted to automate this so I wouldn’t have to manually insert the featured image.
Thank you!
Kia

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Surface featured image within contentHi Deblyn,
Thank you for the response.
I use the Twenty Twenty theme so am already on quite a lightweight implementation. I did switch to Twenty Sixteen and deactivated all plugins except Events Calendar and the featured image still wasn’t showing up. Do you have any other ideas?
Thank you!

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] List view and navigation buttons not workingHi Jaime,
That solved my problem – thank you.
For future users who might need this thread, when I updated, the homepage looked very different. I went to Event Settings > Display > set Events template to Default Events Template and that fixed it.
Thank you,
Kia

@pt-guy, thank you for your help.
@ng63, thank you Neil. We’ve deleted the videos off the homepage. We’ve also installed EWWW Image Optimiser to optimise images on the fly. Before this, we were ‘saving for web’ via Photoshop and using ImageOptim to reduce image size but I don’t think this has done a great job. Hopefully, we’ll see some improvements.
Thank you,
Kia
Hi, I have disabled Lazy Load by WP Rocket but I should say that this slow-load effect was happening even before we installed the plugin (and is still happening now). Do you have any ideas please?
Thank you,
Kia

In reply to: [Responsive Lightbox & Gallery] Lightbox not working with Gutenberg galleriesHi,
I noticed that support tickets here don’t often get answered so for anyone having the same issue, I resolved it by deactivating Responsive Lightbox & Gallery and installing FancyBox for WordPress. This works for galleries as well as individual images. Just make sure the ‘Link To’ is set to ‘Media File’ and not ‘Attachment Page’ or ‘None’.
Thanks to dFactory for the years of service and sorry to abandon you!
