Whether I use the analytics plugin or put the analytics code in the header.php. The results are always around the same. 70 per day.
On the other hand statcounter gives me usually several hundred a day and up and down sometimes 2000 a day. But analytics never goes above 100 a day. EVER. Looking at Statcounter I can see that the landing page results are usually under 100 a day, but article results go up and down by hundreds and some days thousands. I keep thinking analytics code in the HEADER.PHP is only counting the landing page. Seems logical, though I have no idea really.

Hey Steve. I called Godaddy and they gave me one bit of advice that works with some sites but not Comedy Central. In the embed code add the “s” to the http. It worked with SNL, NBC and MSNBC. But not VIACOM. Viacom is bad news, always has been. Most every other company now put videos up on YOUTUBE but them.

You got dat right Steve! Sure enough I got a SSL certificate two days ago.

I tried both the functions and the JS fixes and neither worked for me. Still one long narrow single column. And the reason I go this them was for two columns. ??

I can’t seem to figure the carosel out. I would like to use it as RECENT POSTS for the article pages. No images come up, just the latest links. I have excepts for thumbnails plugin and a 250 wide image in every post. There seems to be no settings to know what’s going on.
Help me please, I love the thing. Dumped MAGAZINE PREMIUM…

been there done that for a week now, no help whatsoever, only denial.
What I am trying to find is if other WP / Adsense users who tweak with PINGDOM find the same results. Am I the only one experiencing this?

Thanks for the response!! Before I read your replies I deleted the plugins by FTP and installed them again. They came back with the old settings which was odd. There lingered SUPER CACHE errors which made a mess of things but it did basically work. This morning I deactivated one and they all disappeared again. This time I captured the error which was the same for all of them in a long list

The plugin adsense-now-lite/adsense-now-lite.php has been deactivated due to an error: The plugin does not have a valid header.

And I have SUPER CACHE errors all over the place no matter it too is gone, or I delete it from FTP, the catch errors

A problem still lingers, as it seems it was SUPER CACHE that did me in. Something to do with hitting the MINIFY button that came up I think.
Now I can’t get rid of supercache errors all over the place. even if I delete the plugin from ADMIN and DELETE from FTP, the errors linger. Even at the top of the website.

Thanx for the reply… The names of the files do change but it seems to be the same half dozen or so. The add about 2 to 3 seconds to PINGDOM speed reslutes.
Googling these files I find explanations on how to rid them from browsers, and windows, but nothing is said about servers.

I tried various WP malware detectors from your links. None of them found anything amiss at all.

Now I am wondering if perhaps all these file results I see from PINGDOM may be between me and PINGDOM and not the server at all? Is that possible?

I dont have anything worrisome up other than adsense.

I think it was your plugin messing up the Mag Premium Theme.
It looks like it removed all the widgets from the theme and added some widget options in the CUSTOMIZE THEME area that were not there before.
Or something else happened at the exact same time I used your plugin. ??

Good news is it is fixable with a bit of work!
Perhaps you should contact c.bavota [[email protected]] theme author…

At least I can relax and go to bed knowing I can fix it in the morning!

Server sees no problem

Though you are right in that now if you click on an article on the front page you do get the article.

It seems no matter what I put in the .htaccess I get the same mess. I have tried 20 or 30 versions and either it goes error 500 or I get the same problem. So it must be something else?

It seems CSS is okay, or the layout is correct. It must be JS that is gone? No header, footer or sidebars…
Any other suggestions…

Gosh. It is so bad it is making me ill.
My last backup is a month ago. 200 articles…
I tried old .htaccess and no .htaccess same problem.
I will contact the server and hope there may be something there…

Do you think the WP update sucks and I should delete the whole thing and install WP fresh?
The thing is, its all fine with my zip of the older theme, but when I update the theme it all comes back. Something about updating?
