In reply to: Cannot log in- getting “Parse error: syntax error,” etcI’ve read and re-read the Code for log in problems and it doesn’t appear that anything there can help. How can I deactivate plug-ins, for example, when I cannot access the Dashboard?
I don’t think the log-in.php is corrupted either. It apparently has solely to do with adding that piece of code that was suggested in https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/257947?replies=2 because as soon as I copied and pasted it into the Function template, the site was lost.
Do I have any options left to fix this? Is it a lost cause?
This is what I get when I try to access the site:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_ENDWHILE in /home/marleysm/public_html/wp-content/themes/pretty-spots/functions.php on line 92
The site is: https://marleysmutts.com
Thanks.

In reply to: Cannot log in- getting “Parse error: syntax error,” etcIt appears I have always logged in at the website, using the admin access link. I can’t reach that link because the website has crashed.
Can you tell me how to log in from the “back end”?
Please, someone???

In reply to: Making Side Widget Level With ContentWell, I went back to making the lastest post shorter and so the sidebars are closer to where I want them to be. I guess it is the lesser of two evils (I really liked having the entire post right there, front and center.
I’m going to make this resolved, even though it actually isn’t. But close enough for government work.

In reply to: Changing “Comments Closed” to “Comments Open”Hi tluskie,
Thanks for your response.
I know it should be there, but when I am on the edit page for a post, there is no place at the bottom for me to either allow or disallow comments.
I deactivated all my plugins, cleared the cache, and made sure that “Allow people to post comments on new articles” was checked, and still, each post says “Comments are closed.”
However, looking back in the archives, I note that before September 24, comments were allowed and after that, none were allowed.
I guess that tells me something, but I’m just not sure what. ??

In reply to: Making Side Widget Level With ContentThanks for looking.
I’m using IE7, but I just opened the page in Firefox 3.0.15 and it looks exactly the same. The first sidebar “Featured Pet” is even with the first “Recent Posts.” I want it to be even with Dec 21st entry (Sponge Bob).
I’m using Pretty Spots 1.0.05. When I view the style.css, I don’t see the code you mention (#feature-data).
By the way, this was not a problem until I changed from a static front page to “your latest posts.”
Any further suggestions? Anyone?

In reply to: Making Side Widget Level With Contentkdaye87: I see from your website you were able to address and fix your problem.
I am still wondering how to find my layout.css file (see previous post).
Does anyone have a suggestion?
Thanks.
Using Pretty Spots theme at website: https://marleysmutts.com/

In reply to: Making Side Widget Level With ContentExcuse the intrusion, but I am having the same problem.
I’m using the theme Pretty Spots and I do not find a folder called layout.css. The only css file I see is style.css.
Have I missed the point entirely (I’m new to WP, so it’s entirely possible)? Am I looking in the wrong place (theme editor)?
Thanks for any suggestions.
