Honestly, I do not think this answers the question.
They asked if this plugin can be used for the default BuddyPress registration screen.
The answer would be simply NO! The register page is dynamically rendered, therefore there is no place to put the code you described above.

This and similar Captcha plugins are useless to BuddyPress.
I have yet to find one that will work.

The only way you can slow down the spam users is to go to the Register webpage under pages and rename the slug from register to something else like siteregister.

I just did a fresh install. This is my first time using this plugin.
It does not do anything, and everything is “sitewide” enabled.
Does not work on any browsers. ??

Well your update broke my website, and broke a lot of others.
The widget needs to have and option to not use the icons on the recent downloads. It is not my server because I have multiple servers with the same issue.
When the links are clicked in the widget, it used to open a window and the download worked when clicking the download button. The download button is no longer functional.
I am a developer myself, and I know how important it is when small changes are made that you do not expect will effect other portions.
When my inbox fills with complaints that my free product can not be downloaded, after updating a plugin, yes it does dramatically change my opinion of the product.
If you look at the stream of complaints since the last update you will see that it is a problem. We are not trying to criticize you but to be partners in giving feedback to help improve your product so more people are inclined to support it.

Look in your error.log if you are using Linux. It could be something else, like access permissions.

There is WP-Filebase, which works smoothly. However, the way it displays the downloads is not what I need. I need something very descriptive. They have a lot of widgets though that are pretty nice.

Its still messing up. I took down the widget because it was confusing people that couldn’t download anything.
This just started when you added the icons to the widget. Which as I stated before, I wish it there was an option to display them or not.
Ill place it back up somewhere when you are available.

For some reason it is working now. Re-enabled all plugins I was using before…. So I don’t know what happened. But it did happen during the upgrade.

apparently there is an offending plugin….. I am on the hunt to see what it is…

WP-Filebase is downloading the zip files just fine. Although the don’t use the scrambled using the wpdmact=process&did=MTIuaG90bGluaw== function.
However, I don’t like that plugin as much as yours

Unless we all have host gator… Then I don’t see why our servers would magically start doing this.
My .cs files download fine. It is just the .zip files through WordPress Download Manager. I have one file that is not in the uploads directory. If you use it with this product the file comes back as corrupt. If I just type in the URL it downloads fine (not using your wpdmact=process&did=MTIuaG90bGluaw==)

I am getting the same thing…

atm its broken for me with the last update. My zips were fine until the update and now they are not downloading correctly. The files in the uploads section are working perfectly when I get them from FTP. IT is the plugin that is messing up.

Correction…. Using the download page the files are returning files as corrupted, especially zip files. These files worked perfectly before the update….
Seriously considering switching products, as this has cause my customers serious problems.
