Well, did some more searching & reading and finally came around to pick and choose qTranslate as preferred plug-in to do the job.

In my case I did change the upload path but I, for some reason, missed out the slash; assume that I did a search and replace for the old base path to the new which ended up breaking the full path to wp-content/uploads.

Big thanks for the answer and as well the solutions; shame on me since this error was self inflicted after I moved an installation to another server. Check and re-check other settings to make sure.

What is current status here; happy to help out with Swedish translation.

Samboll, thanks for the suggested links; both IMM-Glosary and Twenty Side Tales Lexicon plugins does the needed work. But, finds that IMM-Glosary offers a few extra features more and as well got a proper GUI while TST Lexicon has offers the possibility of a few extra info parameters per word added to the dictionary. But, missing the feature to create a dictionary page as IMM-Glosary offers.

Well, I had the same issue and looked at another more or less exactly WP installation and one of the differences where that my own WP has WordPress auto upgrade plugin installed and the other didn’t and there was no issue with either upgrade or issue with notice of upgrade.

So in my case the solution was to disable and as well I deleted the wordpress auto upgrade plugin and voila issue solved.
