In reply to: [User Switching] Could Not Switch UsersNathan
Did you confirm the cause of the problem?
I’m experiencing the same, but turning off either or both the long URL and suspicious query string settings don’t appear to solve it.
Same here, using MailPoet. WP Users table remains clean, but the MailPoet Subscribers table which is periodically synchronised automatically has the extra characters, probably every time there is a change to the user details.
Interesting, every case uses “+ama0”, never “+ama1” or any other digit, so presumably they are each individual changes?
I had 100 bounces today from our latest newsletter, all due to this.
None of these are users with a multi-use email address.
I’ve just noticed the same problem on my site. I use MailPoet for newsletters and a large number, but strangely not all, email addresses are now corrupted by the addition of “+ama0” before the @.
I echo Jonas’ comment:
We LOVE this plugin – a great tool developing community sites, and testing mail services and much more.
But we can’t function with this problem.

In reply to: [User Role Editor] adding create post ability to user groupYes, definitely.

In reply to: [User Role Editor] adding create post ability to user groupThanks to Vladimir who was unable to identify that one my site the reason some roles were unable to add new posts was because they did not have the “delete_posts” capability.
As a temporary fix I added that capability to those roles and the problem was immediately solved.
However, I have now had a chance to search all plugins for the actual cause for this. I found that the “offending” plugin is “WP User Avatar” when used with the setting “Allow Contributors & Subscribers to upload avatars” enabled.

In reply to: [User Role Editor] adding create post ability to user groupJust to confirm – I sent the login details by email yesterday.

In reply to: [User Role Editor] adding create post ability to user groupI have now upgraded to URE Pro; activated “Create Post/Page” capability; and enabled that capability for the roles that need it.
But still those roles do not show Posts in the admin menu. I have also confirmed that going direct to /wp-admin/edit.php is blocked as well.
As far as I can tell the problem has started either since the latest URE upgrade, or possibly since we installed bbPress on the site. Unfortunately both happened at the same time, so it is hard to say which might have the conflict.

In reply to: [User Role Editor] adding create post ability to user groupSome further information:
“Author” is our default role for new users.
I have tried adding and selecting a capability “create_users” for each role but that has no effect.

In reply to: [User Role Editor] adding create post ability to user groupI’m having this same problem. I do not have the Pro version.
Now none of my created roles have the capability to add posts, but hey all have “Edit posts” selected.
The default ‘Author’ role does not have edit posts capability selected. Overall on our site there are huge differences between “Author” role and our custom roles. “Author” has only basic read capabilities.

In reply to: [Search Everything] Getting tag on backend, not rendering properlyI’d like to add a strong “me too!!!” to the request for an urgent update to this plugin. There have been a lot of WP changes since 2014-12-18 when the current version was released.

In reply to: [Allow Multiple Accounts] Not working on WordPress 4.0Scott
Thanks for the 3.0 update. Much improved. A very valuable plugin (for me) now.

In reply to: [Allow Multiple Accounts] Not working on WordPress 4.0It’s a shame this plugin is no longer maintained, or seems not to be.
However, I have installed it on WP 4.0.1 and it does work, for me at least.
But my use-case may be unusual, as I only need to allow a single email address to be used by multiple members, and they are a small group that don’t actually have a ‘real’ email address. So I give them all a common dummy address.
The only fault is that the list of multiple accounts includes everyone. It see,s to regard 1 email address as “multiple!!
But to be on the safe side, I shall leave it deactivated, and just activate it when I need to use it. I can get away from that because the multiple emails will only ever be set by me in admin.

In reply to: [Search Everything] Notice: trying to get property of non-objectTo fix it on my site I needed to change line 930 further to:
if (isset(json_decode($zemanta_response[‘body’])->status)) {

In reply to: [Search Everything] Notice: trying to get property of non-objectThis still seems to be an issue, for me at least. Is there a new version expected any time soon?
Sadly the fix described above does not seem to help in my case, and neither does it matter if WP_DEBUG is true or false.
